Need a German-speaking person for help with Silent Hill Homecoming + giveaway

First of all, candies.

So I bought Silent Hill Homecoming during the Halloween Sales, I'm a big fan of the series and had been waiting a long time to play it despite its reputation.

Turns out, the game plays with black borders (letterbox-ish) all around the screen despite the resolution (1920x1080) being my screen's native res.

Also I could not find the graphic options in the game, all that is visible is the resolution and refresh rate selection.

The game plays at 24 fps - despite the fact that I have a correct setup - and still manages to have an horrible screen tearing.

Someone here owns the game and could suggest some sort of fix for any of these issues ? I tried searching a bit on the web, no luck, nothing either on the community hub. Thanks in advance and sorry for the candy but I don't have much in stock these days :-P

edit : js93583's workaround solved the low fps issue, the game now runs smooth. There are still other issues :

• letterboxes are still here (but I can deal with it)
• all the sound comes from the right (I read that's because the game is made for 5.1 sound and it can be screwed up for people who have a stereo setup). This is really a deal breaker.
• the prompts are wrong with a xbox360 controller. The blue "X" button is a blue "2", the red "B" button is a green "1", all is mixed up and I can't find a mod or hack that would allow to display the correct prompts (even if some people claim the right prompts are here, somewhere in the code)

edit 2 : looks like someone on these forums created a .bat file or something like that, to inject XBOX 360 prompts in the game.

Problem is, I can't find the file or download them, my German classes are far away now. Can someone confirm that :

1) only registered users can see/download files ?

2) only German-speaking members are accepted ?

Is there any other way to get that file ?
