Civ IV GOTY vs Complete

I have Civ IV Goty from a long long time ago, and it doesn't even connect to steam, but I was wondering if I should activate the humble bundle Complete edition or is that a waste. Would it be better to just trade/gift the Complete or would it be better than the Goty edition?

So my basic question is: What is the difference?

Thanks! So just to confirm. Civ IV Complete adds Beyond the Sword and Colonization expansions.
