I think Slender the 8 Pages (or so) was the first part which was F2P, but didn't had that much content.
Played it in a dark room with headset, but forgot to close my door completly, so my flatmate entered, watched me 5 Minutes play (until it got intense enough) and then touched my shoulders. Never in my life I was that close to literally shitting myself.
Slender The Arrival is on steam and is said to have more content. Installed it, but haven't played it yet ^^.
For 8 pages just use google, it's still F2P
You have only a flashlight as well, but limited stamina and batterie.

Jeha. very short but never the less good. I think after 0.5-1 hour it gets repetitive, but you should definetly give it a try, if you like horror.
And yes, you basically walk throuh the forest and collect 8 pages nothing more ;->

PS: If you liked Outlast, you should definitely check out Alien: Isolation, though the AI is blatantly cheating on Hard difficulty.

i tried something like 20 times and i helped myself with a video walkthrought for the parts i was not sure which path i should take for run away from enemies. after so many times you start to go really fast. i think my final run was around 75-80 minutes. Alien is in my wishlist :) :) but i'm more afraid from its achievements than the game itself :P

I see. I only played normal mode, and got fed up at the Scissor guy. Might give it another try at some point.
As for Alien Isolation getting 100% isn't that bad at all. For my "no death" playthrough I played on easy (also the death animation is pretty long so you can just press escape and reload last checkpoint), and for the collectibles there's a replay chapter option. The hardest part is playing through the game for the first time on Hard, because the cheating AI.
AI can be quite derpy sometime, though

what do you mean for cheating AI ..is it like that enemies can't see you but they know where to search you like in the video?

On hard difficulty the Alien will always know where you are, regardless how stealthy you are. If you manage to lose him, then the game will just spawn it near you in a minute or so.
While on normal mode and below you can lose him completely for a while from time to time, til you encounter a scripted event or you make too much noise.
You will see, what I mean :)

ok i finally managed to finish the insane mode of Outlast and it was giant painintheass!! but the game is good ..great i would say ..it's one of the best horror games i played so far and it's the most particular one ..for those of you that didn't play it, you have no gun, no knifes, no fists ..you're just a great cardio guy that won the world cup of "hide and seek" but not the one of "most clean underwear" (because i'm sure he pooped in his pants in that crazy asylum) ..i played it in the night with earphones and loud volume and it's freekin scary in so many ways that even my anxiety got anxiety.
who has tried it? what about the dlc ..is it good too? which horror game do you like the most? for me ..for me it is Silent Hill 3, the first Silent Hill i've tried...and it was love at first sight.
anyway here's the traiiiiiin ...enjoy :)
