Will you be crafting Summer Sale Badges?
After the mobile authenticator crap the market became kinda useless to me, so I just craft them now and trade with friends (since those are 1 day delay not 15).
Have to remember to get my GF to do her queue and poach her cards, I keep forgetting and losing a badge level or 3.
She gets my foils since she does have the mobile app. Not that she really uses Steam.

I usually craft one badge to have as a reminder of that particular sale, as I didn't miss any of the big summer/winter sales since they started.

Started to actively craft badges by the end of 2017. Pretty much freaked out when i was crafting the badge for Hacknet and a Mysterious Trading Card dropped.

I consult the SteamCardExchange and craft until I get a badge picture I'm happy with, likely not going over ten crafts. Sell the rest, and buy the event emoticons and backgrounds with the "income".

Just craft a game badge or wait for summer sale you can get cards by voting or buying games like in previous sales probably.

I just crafted ~30 badges but I don't know if the price the mystery cards are going for right now justifies me selling them, I'll probably wait a few days and see if the price rises a bit when the sale proper starts.
By the way, using close to two hundred cards to climb 4 levels felt like such a waste, I don't know why I even bother tbh.

I've seen the prices following some strange patterns in the past, rising as the sale comes close and of course falling when the free cards start flooding the market. Also it's just a matter of time before that st4ck guy starts buying every sale card under the sun.
And then there's the thing that I always doubt if I should sell everything or keep them and craft a badge, then I remember that I'll get 9 cards a day during the sale and just sell everything and then craft the badge as prices start crashing :P

That used to be my strategy yeah. But now prices are so low, and I have a 15-day countdown till it hits the market that's 100% pointless :/

I just got used to steam needing the app on my phone in order to function properly but I understand why some people see it as too many mandatory steps and restrictions.

Yup. It was 7 days when it launched but a month or 3 later they upped it to 15 days to screw us over even more, also adding it to the marketplace at that time (at 15 days).

i crafted one badget and got onyl 3 things - one mystery card, one background and one emoticon - isnt there a extra during sale?
Are there foil mystery cards out too? Or are the foil cards extra from the crafted game? So will there be always 3 drops (one card, one background, on emoticon) ore are there later (when sale started) more than 3 drops?

Usually there is no benefit crafting badges at the sale. Mystery cards will turn to sale cards once the sale begins. There are foils for mystery cards too.

There was some mysterious items Valve gave during Spring Cleaning Event, so there might be an actual Event this sale.

Hard to say, during last Event That Used Cards (which was... 3? 4? years ago), you had to craft badges to get points and even standard badges gave points.

To be honest just the usual groupbuy bundle cost and some time to activate 3000+ keys i bought from some russian dude 2 years ago. I sold enough cards to get my money back and used the others to fulfill my sets.

So Summer Sale 2018 starts in 7 days. Usually Steam gives you Mystery Cards one week prior to the sale if you craft a badge, which will turn into Summer Sale Cards once the sale starts eventually. Today Mystery Cards should be dropped if you craft a badge.
