EDIT, I wanted to remake it: http://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/lDTWl/fallout-new-vegas

How does this work exactly? Do I need to submit proof of giving the winner the gift, if he accuses me of not giving a gift, even though I did? My Steam friend told me this as it happened to him once and he got a falsely bad reputation.

Also, do I get $10 contributor credit now?

Anyways, enjoy!

You get the contrib credit when the game is sent and marked as received.

What if they're mean and don't mark it as received?! D:

If you are able to prove you sent the copy then support will deal with the winner.

If they don't mark it as received after the 7 days, submit a ticket to support and the mod team will assist you.

Most people wouldn't have a reason to pretend they did not receive. I'd say safest way if you're afraid would be to take screenshots, or gift the game in the trade window (because past trades are recorded on your trade history, which would make it easier to provide a proff to support if something goes wrong).

Even more careful way would be to record the gifting process in video but IMO that's far-fetched, but maybe I'm not afraid because no one ever pretended they didn't receive my gifts/keys.

Okay thanks all, I'll take screenies. Also I was planning to trade the gift via tradebox. Thanks! :)

I've heard of some few people having problems with a giveaway, but never had any myself. Sounds like your friend was terribly unlucky. :(

Think your chance of finding a dishonest winner are tiny, but you can always take screenshots if you're worried. And what's the benefit to them? I'm not sending anyone a second gift, no matter what they claim... :)
