My situation isn't as bad as yours since we're at least in the same country. We're separated by a few hundred kilometres due to school, see each other once a month at best during the school year. My valentine's day started off with a bang - trying to instil hope in and cheer up someone who's given up on everything, all the while I myself am depressed as hell as well. So, you know, there's been worse but it isn't very swell either.

I have a "sob" story:
3 years ago I was in a relationship with the girl of my dreams and everything was going great. Then some time in January I found out she was pregnant, I was excited. Well long story short around the first week of February she had a miscarriage, we were very upset but shit happens you just need to move on. Well 2 days later I come home from work to notice that all her things were gone and I was confused as hell trying to think of why she would just leave without ever telling me. I tried calling her phone for days but she never answered. I not only got to spend that V-day alone but also trying to figure out why everything fell apart for me in just a few days. It wasn't until about 3 months later that I heard from one of her friends who I ran into in a store that she moved in with her grandmother and later killed herself. I guess I meant nothing to her family because they never had the guts to ever call me to tell me what happened. Life may seem shitty at times but we move on, we may never forget stuff but we must move on. I have been single ever since and for some reason I find it hard at times to even talk to talk to a girl when she is obviously flirting with me. It will take a long time to heal from that one. Happy V-day everyone at least I can spend V-day with you guys!

Apparently I screwed up and it's up for another fifty minutes.

My sob story is my gf dumped me 30 minutes before valentines day after pretty much telling me she cheated on me, and before I could grasp if she had or hadn't (was very vauge) she also confirmed we had now broken up and hung up on me

Edit, after accusing me of cheating on her in such a way that almost justified the vauge notion that she might have cheated on me.

I didn't cheat on her btw.
