Hey guys I'm a new steam user(joined around January) and havent had a summer sale yet.So as the sale comes near I have a few questions for you. First one - How many offers are there a day? ; Are the discounts bigger than now? How much money(on average) do I need to participate daily in the sale (1-2 games a day if there are so many)? Do the discounts change daily ,weekly or monthly? And should I save my moneys for GTA V instead of this? :D

It changes every sale. Valve could really go with any format. But what i can tel you for certain, is that almost everything has a discount, and the daily, weekly and community voted sales are just an extention of the discount (such as if something is 50% off, it'll go to something like 75% off when its featured on sale.) There area also badges and they dictate what you have o do to get them.

It is all dependant on what kinds of games you're interested in... If you buy everything that goes on 50-75% sale, your wallet is going to be very sad. Also, the way the sale is presented changes every summer. There are usually flash sales, daily deals, 12hour deals, and deals in all kinds of other time frames. There are also sometimes developer deals, e.g. all Bethesda games 50-75% off for 48 hours.

Just one little tip: if you're looking for one particular game buy it only when it's in a daily offer or, only if it don't come out as a daily, wait until the last day to buy it. Be patient, don't waste money!

This is the most important rule for any Steam sale. ONLY buy if it is a daily deal, if not wait until the very last day, which tends to be the greatest hits of the sale.

1 - nearly everything on Steam will get -X% for whole sale
2 - each day there are few selected games that gets even bigger -X%, there were also shorter deals, like flash sales or community votes - they are cheapest (outside of bugs) those games will appear
3 - hard to tell how much money you need, since it depends how much you want to buy
4 - don't focus only on steam, tons of shops start their sales along steam and can give even better deals (like GMG with it's additional -20% vouchers...)
5 - don't buy stuff that isn't on daily/community vote until last day of sale, because when it will get into daily/community sale you'll be angry you lost few $

Just to add to that, if it's in a Community Vote, Flash Sale (12 hour sales), or Daily Deal, it's not gonna get any cheaper.

Damnit, Steam... since today is the first of the days on which the Summer Sale could start, I was hopefully awaiting 1:00 EST.
When I saw the massive banner at the top, I thought that it actually had started. It was only a Paradox Interactive Weekend :L

So, should I nab some of these Paradox Vickie II DLCs, or should I wait?

If they have -75% they won't be cheaper in next weeks.

Big price drops usually happen after Summer/Winter sale, not before.
