Buy older/cheaper games that your interested in and get the newer games cheaper later

Far Cry 3 is enjoyable at first but it ends up being a pretty typical "follow the map" experience like assassins creed is. While the gameplay is pretty enjoyable, the stealth is fairly mediocre since the AI is rather dumb and I really hate the main character and the plot following him. Still a real cool experience for FPS fans.

XCOM I'd take over it because not only is it a genre we dont see much of on this scale, but it's actually incredibly smart in terms of its tactics and how you can make your squad grow. It feels so open for a game where you're restricted to moving on a grid, and you do feel every death is your fault. Its got a real great old school sci fi vibe to it as well. Ironman mode it, fuck quicksaving.
