Honestly tho I just find it more comfy wearing underwear or boxer style shorts, plus the fact that I share my house with family so when I get up to pee in the middle of the night/get a drink (which I normally do a couple times) I don't want to be bothered to get dressed or find my robe in the pitch black.

I'd still feel a bit weird considering my street consists almost entirely of children 4-13ish. But it was half a joke, if I found sleeping naked more comfortable the chance of a fire happening wouldn't stop me. That said, if my room was burning I can't imagine myself pausing to put on clothes in the panic of it all.

I understand what you're saying, I agree that being naked shouldn't be so taboo. But since it is, it would make me feel uncomfortable since people would (and do) comment in a negative way. I hate confrontation and having to explain myself to strangers, whatever the circumstances. But that's my fault I guess, not theirs. If anything it seems like they'd offer some sort of clothing, bc it's been winter and absolutely freezing out.

It's not the first thing I think about, I've played entire scenarios of emergencies that could happen thinking about how I would/should react and that's definitely at the bottom of the list. I was just thinking of what could be a downside to sleeping naked in a half joking way, to offset the list of a million positives. I regret saying anything honestly.
