So I actually planned to play Ashes of the Singularity as an April game, but my brain farted and said "it's actually AI War 2 that you planned to play, right?" and then I installed it and submitted it while still thinking I was going to play an April game. Fortunately, AI War 2 fits Simulation Tag too and (I guess it was samwise since mouse retired) the admin was nice enough to change it for me in the website, so I updated it here as well to be consistent.

Bump, beat AI War 2 according to this post, but if there's any problem, I could try beating another map to get one of the "beat this particular AI configuration" achievements.
Frankly, it's been a bit overwhelming. It is a nice game, but there's way too many things to consider and I don't get a real feeling of the massive "rock, paper, scissors" of the game ships, technologies or infinite variance of things to take into account. I thought it would be more like Warcraft 3, and that there would be some campaign of sorts to teach you, but it's not like that, and without some sort of guidance I can't say it works too much for me.
Also added Stealth Inc 2: A Game of Clones, and might get AotS too if I have enough time.

And here's my here's my review for "Wish tale of the sixteenth night of lunar month". A nice read indeed. I stopped reading manga for 3 days, because I wanted to see what happened to the characters. The text was really descriptive so you could imagine what was going on. I like how the story has mature themes without needing to show any skin. Maybe that's why it doesn't have too many reviews ;_;. I think the game's story wrapped up pretty well. Not really a cliff-hanger, but really like a season finale. So I wait with anticipation for the next game to come out on steam. Until then, I've got plenty of wins calling me to play them.

from what your profile is reporting you didnt win mainlining so you would need to pick a win. Just from 1 quick glance Pesterquest counts so I'm sure you can find something.

Just create an invite only giveaway and send it to samwise84, who just replied to you as well. They will add it to the site which people can access when they beat at least 1 win.
It's a good idea to have them end in September so that way any last entries can enter. It's limited to 30 a month as to not make the list to long so don't leave it to late if you do decide to grace us with something

Oh gosh, how did you notice xD Finished it a short while ago but I don't think it's a good way to do it as I did, I felt compelled to finish as I set a goal so I kinda burned myself out playing through it, don't think I would like to play the next titles of the series, on the other hand, it's partially because I didn't really like it (unlike sam) so I would take years to finish it as an alternative :(
Have to find a middle ground. Story was ok tho, will have to remember doing a review, I know the devs were nice enough to GA many copies of these and it's the least I can do.

Also I totally get what you mean. I added cook serve delicious 2 to the list but unless I do like 1.5 restaurants a day its not gonna be possible. I don't really like the game compared to the original but I feel compelled to complete it this month since I added it. I have technical difficulties with Faerie Solitaire, the game doesn't have resolution options and it's visually hard for the eye at Fullscreen, so I hope Faerie Solitaire Remastered is ok as a substitute? It's a bonus to Faerie Solitaire owners,however, I had completed Ch1(out of 9) sometime ago.

As I already wrote on the event page it is totally fine to use a previously started game, as long as it is not completely finished.
Just for the future if it is already started, after you have added it, click on edit and type in your previously gotten achievements and time in the fields for stats before the start of the event. Makes it a tad easier for me to approve ;)
The remastered version is totally fine. I have played and liked both. Even bought the next installments of the game ;)

Yeah I had a small poll going about if we can count the thing from FF III as cats, but most people said no. Even though some incarnations look kinda like cats the one from Finala Fantasy III does not really. Maybe you will find a cat in the HOG. They tend to have cats ;)

Final notes:
Between the new job and the new dog, I didn't have nearly as much time on my hands as I expected. Shadwen was a little frustrating, Neurovoider was easy up until the point it wasn't (third boss, for the record). Managed to beat The Coma: Recut though, and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was!

Tbh I think you should enforce people to use the site on their own and bear consequences if they forget to add games (so you'd have less work, because I imagine to check the whole thread — sucks), but welp, I understand reasons against it, so it's your decision. Just my opinion :)

Yeah, Niche does not really have an endling achievement. How about the one for reaching all the islands or the surviving 250 days one. Whichever comes first. Or when you reached the average HLTB time for it 🤷🏻♀️

My thoughts about Niche are mixed, on one hand i hoped there would be a story but there isn't, and on the other the mechanics of the game are quite nice.
It starts off well with the following setting: you are kidnapped by a bird and separated from your family, alone you start traveling from island to island, and on the way you build your own family that evolves through selective breeding all in the name of survival.
The story starts but never ends. They could've introduced an antagonist species where the hunted becomes the hunter and in the end you stay triumphant at the top of the pyramid chain, or a natural disaster like an ice age or earthquakes, volcanoes etc where you must take your family to safety... something.
It's the first time i play this type of game. so in the end this survival game was worthwhile.

I am going to play AI War 2 (has simulation tag) and Enslaved: Odyssey to the West Premium Edition (store page has female protagonist tag, so I guess it counts for that).
AI War 2 is an RTS with no story or campaign, and no HLTB time. How should I determine when it's beaten? 10-20 hours or 33% of achievements or something?

I've looked a bit into the game and it's options and I would suggest one of the following: either 10h playtime, 25% of achievemtns (~39) or one of the beat the game with X achievements, there are several of those though I am not sure how to get them and how hard it would be. So whichever you reach first or want to try for, I leave the decision to you :)

the very old win category is for exactly the oldest 20 unplayed/not yet beaten games (idled does not count as played and DLC's are not counted as wins to be played here). I checked your wins and you won Insanely twisted shadw Planet on Sep 29, 2018. The last elegible win under that one is from August 22nd 2017. I am not sure how to otherwise fit the game into the categories :(

Rise of Industry - Management.
I wasn't sure if the game is suitable for this challenge since you can't beat a game without a win condition and 100% achievements in this game is clearly unrealistic and requires a DLC. I had already decided to play the game anyway, launched it today, saw that there's a Career mode and it said something along the lines of "succeed in your career by building a prototype". This prompted me to do some research and participate with the game here.
To win the Career mode you have to build a prototype. There are several types of them but there's an achievement only for winning with a car prototype and not for the other ones. The achievement is named Vroom Vroom and this is the one I'll try going for.

Ps Just letting you know that something is wrong and the site failed to capture the time correctly. It picked up the time from the past two weeks instead of the total(7.3 hrs last two weeks / 17.3 hrs on record). I don't mind as I don't play for the PAGYWOSG leaderboards, I'm writing it just for informative purposes as I noticed some people do care about those stats

Oh I remember having a look at the code before I started using the site. Not my language, but still I checked a few things and remember that time tracking was supposed to be automated and there were some fallback mechanisms like using the last 2 weeks time if the request to get the total time fails etc. That's why I thought that something is wrong. Especially that it did not capture anything while I forgot about that checkbox and when time finally showed up it used the wrong value.
Didn't know that that part of the sync process is not working and the time is inputted manually. In that case please just ignore it, I don't mind. I thought that maybe steam changed something and the sync stopped working as expected and started using that fallback mechanism based on recently played games, which could mean a problem affecting all users

The game is far less broken and more enjoyable than many of the reviews might make you believe. Certainly the game isn't without it's faults and the AI isn't great, but I actually had a lot of fun with it. The game has a lot of potential which sadly will never be fulfilled.

Hey so the game doesn't have a true "end", you can keep playing forever (events are randomly generated). The "Pirate MegaFleet's final assault" is considered the unofficial end of the game as it's a huge assault on your base you aren't supposed to survive. But as you can see from my screenshots it can be survived and you can keep playing. I've also gotten most of the goals except for two, one I feel is unattainable since the happiness system seems to be not completely implemented/broken and there's little you can do to affect it, the other one seems luck based and even after playing for hours I wasn't able to get the last item. I personally consider the game completed, there really isn't much left for me to do, if this disqualifies me that's fine with me.

I don't think this is gonna come as a surprise to anyone who knows me or has read what I wrote in the last time.
I am fully and completely stepping away from the PAGYWOSG event. With this month I am giving the full control to Samwise and she is free to do with it whatever she wants (continue, shut down, change things,...).
I has been a good almost 2 years since I took over and pretty much went from a dying event to one that has seen +100 people participating each month. It was a fun time but at this point I am not getting any enjoyment out of hosting it anymore, actually quite the opposite, some people unable to follow simple rules annoyed me and it became a huge time and money sink for me. And when I was faced with the choice of picking between work, streaming, PA, PAGYWOSG or having free time the choice was easy to make for me.
I would like to thank each and everyone of you who participated over the years and I hope you will continue to do so as long as the event takes place!
And thank you Sam for taking over, I am sure she will do a great job :)

I've only taken part in the event for the past two months, so I haven't been along on the journey, but it's both sad and understandable how you can feel burnt out even with something that started off as a labor of love. yeah unless you somehow manage to get all the collectables or you do the silly challenge somehow you can avoid all of them.
the bonus items it gives you arent that great. You can make goat noises. you can backflip when you jump because thats what you want to do in this game and turn stuff into gold which is the last one

I'm still going to get all the other achievements since it'll give me ~ 93% completion (thankfully there's only ONE achievement for speed running and not one for each level) but those speed runs are ridiculous. I'm not even sure that they're possible while using a controller.

You can actually quit to the main menu if you start falling, and then hit "Continue" and it starts you at the last checkpoint without counting as a failure. It's pretty useful.

It's pretty fun, I loved it's predecessors, Zoo Tycoon 1 & 2 on PC, and this one is definitely leaps and bounds as far as graphics and realism, but I feel like they focused too much on micro-management and they made building things really complicated.
Like, it's nice that you can design—almost literally—anything that you want, but it just feels like TOO much and it's kind of overwhelming. I just want to place some staff buildings and food buildings and get on with my life, not make sure my burger joint looks like a unique piece of art. :/
And then I miss some of the options you used to have for food and water in ZT2, like fake carcasses and troughs, whereas now it's pretty much only food bowls.
So, overall it has it's good and it's bad. It might be different for someone who's coming in fresh to it or has played other zoo management games like Wildlife Park though.
This is also an opinion that's nearly a year old though, so things may have changed in that time.

I played them all before (just missing Planet Zoo). And yeah the fake carcasses and stuff was definitly fun in ZT2, I enjoyed having more animal appropriate feeding options. And yeah I totally feel you on customisation options being too much. I mean it can be fun for people that really like that, but for everyone else it is just annoying as hell. Especially if there is nothing prebuilt and you are forced to build them yourself.

They do have a few pre-builts, but not nearly enough in my opinion.
However, they do have a very large steam workshop where people who are much more talented and have way more time on their hands upload their buildings / exhibits / decorations. There are a lot of really cool downloads, although it doesn't seem like they're allowing people to create their own animals for the game yet even though that was a huge thing for ZT2 (like, still ongoing thing, if you haven't looked into ZT2 community lately).

Mine's an HP Omen, and talking to customer service they say that 96 C is normal for the Omen and I'm just like, "You've got to be kidding me, that's f'ing dangerous and I wouldn't have purchased it if I knew that before hand."
They're sending me a new charger to see if that "fixes my problem".
I guess if it dies from overheating within the next 10 months I'll send it back and tell them to send me something better.

Well mine was running at 75C (with the extra fans) which was fine by me. But yeah 96C does not sound healthy, especially over a longer time. But how is a new charger supposed to help with overheating (I mean unless the charger is overheating)?

They clung to the fact that I got a notification about my charger being "incompatible" even though it was an original charger and it was sometimes telling me that it didn't detect a battery.
Just got done with my fourth tech support chat and they had me do a hard reset (shut down, F6 + power button for 10 seconds, restart) and it actually seems to have fixed the charger and battery issue I was having. About to start up Planet Zoo again to see if it will still have heat issues.
EDIT: The hard reset surprisingly fixed it. It's running at ~70 C now on Planet Zoo at Ultra settings. It's even playing Grounded fine despite it needing severe optimizing.

Only played the first two zoos (the turial ones) so far. Generally I like it, though I nearly stopped playing when I ran into a camera bug that would move my camera without me pressing anything and nearly made it impossible to play.

I had that bug, but it fixed itself if I just tapped whatever WASD direction the camera was moving in a few times. If it isn't that, did you turn off the "Edge Scrolling" feature where if your mouse hits the edge of the screen the camera moves that direction?

I've had plenty of psp in my life so I knew what to expect. I got it mainly so I could get the yugioh games which I loved playing. While I don't use it as much obviously now I don't regret buying it because it certainly did help in my last couple of weeks without anything

The last rule (about the very old wins) is really about the oldest 20 wins that I've not yet played? It seems to me like a rule that lets you choose practically any game you have yet to play, depending on the number of your wins.

Yes the oldest 20 wins, that have not been played yet (Idled is not played btw), excluding DLC's. It's for those lazy pepole with 20+ pages of wins that tend to ignore the really old ones (of course any one else can choose one of the those too ;) ).
But you know older wins tend to get forgotten fast. And yeah for people with fewer wins it makes basically all elegible, which is also not a bad thing (but basically that is why it is limited to 20).

Ok I've had it with Cat Quest. I was bored with it towards the end of my first playthrough, and you need multiple playthroughs to get all the achievements. I swear the devs had only 15 minutes worth of ideas and just keep repeating those 15 minutes over and over again.
I'll survive without that last achievement.

I have a question. I chose Shoppe Keep as my game for this month with the Economic tag. I realized that there is no "ending". I really am not interested in all the achievements especially "Full Circle" 365 X 15 min a day=91.5 hours. It's quite a lot of time for me. Would it be ok if I mark it as beaten after I unlock everything?

Just remember that it is for the 20 oldest unplayed wins (ideled does not count as played) and DLCs are excluded for the count. But still should leave you with 20 old wins to choose from 😉

So I need clarification: if my playtime is 2 times more than expected from HLTB, do I need to leave an explanation in the entry?

If it is that high because you let the game running while doing something else than playing the game (eg. looking up solutions, watching playthrough videos, chatting with people, talking on the phone etc.) then simply subtract that time from your playtime by putting it in the time before the month. Is it that high because you had to do a second/third/fourth/... playthrough to get a certain achievement, lost progress and needed to repeat part of the game or spent hours trying to fix something so you could even play the game, just add a note to the game entry explaining that.
Though as long as you have any comment on this thread we will ask you about it if we think your times are too high.

Note it down in the comments of the entry. Same goes for several playthroughs to for example in a HOG to get missing achievements. We don't want to punish players that legitimately enjoy their games, but just want to make the leaderboards fair to those that care about the stuff 😉

I have a question. I submited the game Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- and then when i started playing the story mode wasn't what i expected. There is no gameplay/fighting in there, it's just the story to watch XD
So... i'd like to know how should i consider the game 'beaten'? Is it ok if it's only this story mode or maybe something else?

Well don't know the game so can not really judge. If there is an achievement for doing the story mode then that is okay as beaten.
If there is none then I would suggest either getting 25% of achievements or playing it for 5 1/2 h like HLTB considers as time to beat Main Story.
