skyrim legendary edition or standard edition?

I'd suggest getting the dlc too.It adds to the experience and makes the game alot more fun.

imo go for legendary. definitely worth it.

Legendary makes it EVEN more big. If you have much money to waste on games i recommend you Legendary :)

Get the legendary edition. If bought separately the DLC are much more expensive.

Maybe skyrim without the DLCs is also playable for hundreds of hours,but with the DLCs you got even more storylines, weapons, building your own house to deposits your stuff there is much better than the homes you got in the towns and....hey vampires!

The legendary edition is very cheap. It vas 5,44 GBP at GMG with the -20% coupon. For all the DLC-s and the standard game. Best deal ever.

Consensus - legendary without hesitation or reservation.

Played skyrim a few times, but always got bored during the dlcs and quit playing.
Not recommanded.

I got the standard edition first and really regretted it later on ;) The legendary edition is much cheaper compared to buying the game and the DLC separately and you the DLC are really good.

Go for legendary. It's really worth it.

If money are important (steam store -> 3.75€ vs 10.2€ for LE version) you may take basic Skyrim (vanilla). Game is huge and you spend at least +100h to gather all major content. Then, if you be in love to Skyrim then you may buy Legendary Ed. Why? Then you will not regret a few extra dollars for it.

e.g. I own vanilla Skyrim and I spent 80h just traveling as a free spirit, without starting the main plot. Game just threw me to the open-world and I used it as I like. One day I will back to game and will end story. Right now I don't regret buying basic version, it's just enough.

On the other hand if money does not matter pick Legendary Edition because some mods require both major DLC. And the game has an amazing set of mods :) Of course both DLCs add a lot of great stuff and stories.
Checked my steam friends and seven of the forty-four spended more than 100h with Skyrim. However, twenty of them played less than 10h.
That's my point of view, choice is yours.:)

$10 for the legendary edition is a great deal. These DLCs are not like these "Call of Duty exXxtra super multiplayer map pack dlcs"..they really add great content to the game and extend the game in multiple ways. New quests, missions, items, spells, monsters, locations, etc. So many hours of fun and getting them in the LE is the cheapest way of getting them (modulo piracy).

spen just once an buy it with the DLC, the DLC alone cost more that the Legendary edition. Still, Morrowind is the best of the TES

I'd suggest getting Oblivion instead by virtue of Skyrim feels wrong in some way. Not sure exactly what, but I just can't get into Skyrim nearly as much as Oblivion.

legendary include 2 mods that add a loot of long quest and items in game. like vampires, etc... + a dlc for building your house (very useful if you wanna take a "souvenir" in a museum from big boss)

FYI they are overcharging if you want to buy DLC seperately afterwards
