This has been my go-to sitting pose for pretty much everything, especially if I need to stay somewhat attentive. Hell, sitting like this as I type right now. I tend to slide into a normal sitting up position if I need more precise movements, but for just casually playing or web-browsing, this. So much this.

1st hour into playing - sitting up
2nd hour into playing - reclining
4th hour into playing - sliding off of chair.

Reclined if playing with the xbox360 controller. And PROPERLY sit up like a boss if using keyboard/mouse.
PD: where is the poll? xD

and I was too tired to do a poll. plus people always post "where's the option for some weird thing OP didn't think of". For instance, if I did a poll for this question there would be someone who would say something like "Where's the option for gaming while standing on my head?".

Reclining if I play on a console, sitting straight up when gaming on my pc, but if I have my laptop with me while i laying on bed i recline

I had to look up what "reclining" means...
Well, I guess most of the time I'm reclining... on the chair that is, not on a couch or anything like that. Yeah, I probably should ask a doctor if my spine is like it's supposed to be one of these days. ^_^'

Ah, I guess I should have explained more. I have an office type of chair, computer chair, whatever you call it, that can tilt back. There's levers that will make it tilt the whole thing back, like reclining in a lazy boy chair, or just the back can tilt or the seat. I like this chair a lot, and the arms can go up and down too.

Well, I have a plain wooden chair. Could be rather uncomfortable at times so I lean back and bring my feet up. Sort of like in the fetal position. It's quite a bit more comfortable but also obviously unhealthy as heck so that's where my doctor comment comes from.

Reclined as much as possible, so the head/neck won't get tired/stressed.
More comfortable with a controller.
(I'm currently playing mass effect, and I hate that the steam versions have no controller support.)

Same. There's a small space to my left under my desk to store documents or whatever, so I put my foot against the ledge of that compartment.

I start sitting straight up, but as time passes I slowly melt into the chair.

It's going to sound like a joke answer, but I end up flopped over anywhere and any way decently comfortable. Since I'm out a lot, I opted for a laptop instead of a desktop and ended up just wandering around with it even when I'm home. Can't even remember all the weird places I've been found sitting/laying around with it. I'd wander off to get something, get distracted, decide it's comfortable there, and get too lazy to move. I think some of the best ones were under my desk (where I have a comfy leather chair I could've been in instead), behind a bed (no one could find me, and I didn't notice they wanted me because I had headphones on), and on the floor beside the toilet (which... well that's self explanatory why it's weird, no?). :p

I try to sit straight, but after some time I forget or concentrate too much on the game and I end up in some random position. In a few years I' ll look like the Hunchback of Notre Dame.

I setup my desktop so I can lay in bed and play games.

Well, I only use a normal cheap wooden chair, which is pretty bad for my back due to having nothing to lean my upper back against. I do tend to "lean" my chair backwards, so that it leans on its two back legs.
I usually do that when using a controller, which I rarely do. The rest of the time, I'll be straight in my chair, or like the above post explains.

i have a pretty awesome chair. The seat and back support moves as i do, if i lay backwards then it reclines at any angle i wish automatically just from body movement, it can swivel left/right too, zero delay in reclining or sitting up. instantaneous . back is always supported with neck rest as well and it has comfortable arm rests with padding, including built in back & neck massage. chair is genuine leather.

I'm curious what people do. I like to recline, but that means I can't reach the keyboard, only the mouse. So I end up playing mostly mouse-only games. or else ones with an Xbox controller.
