How long do I need to wait for someone to claim a game I gave away?

I just joined a few days ago. So far I've given away 2 games, DOTA 2 and Nuclear Dawn. DOTA 2 went fine but its been 2 days and the user still has not claimed the Nuclear Dawn game. 2 days isn't a big deal I'm just wondering how long should I wait and after that time what can I do if the game is still unclaimed?

7 days is the minimum to wait.

Tell me more information, was it steam gift or a code? If you sent it through the email try adding him as a friend on Steam and tell him to check his email and redeem the gift

I sent it to the registered email through steam. It was an actual game in my Steam inventory. O. K. I'll try adding him on Steam. Thanks.

If the winner does redeem the gift but does not mark it as received after you tell him to do so, it's best to contact support.

That's why i add people if they won something from me and give it to them on steam so they can't say that i didn't give it to them.

I always screenshot stuff like that anyway. When you send it to email on Steam it says sent until they claim it then it says received.
