Xbox Game Pass for $1 (Play a bunch of games on PC - Windows 10)

Xbox Game Pass is being sold for $1 this month. (Actually it's $1 in my local currency, not sure if it's the same for every country)

If I understand it correctly, you may download and play some exclusive games like Gears of War 4, Halo Wars 1 and 2, ReCore and Sea of Thieves + some multiplatform games this month on pc(win10), if you sub for a $1
Just don't forget to unsub or they're gonna charge the usual $10 or your local equivalent after the first month.

Edit: only for these countries: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Korea, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, UK, United Arab Emirates, United States.

I do not have an Xbox, but I have this Xbox desktop app on my Windows 10 desktop computer.

Will it work there? And then can I play games on my PC?

AFAIK, You just need to open the Windows Store on your pc (windows 10 only). I'm only talking about PC here. I don't own a console.

edit: not available in all countries. See above.

Well, not pitifully small for a dollar. This month I can play the pirate game and state of decay 2 for a dollar. That's pretty good.

https://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-game-pass/games why does it show a lot more for me? I can see games like Fallout 4 and Division.

because you're seeing all the games, while the list I included are only the ones you can play on PC because this community is about pc gaming. If you own an xbox one you can enjoy a bunch of other games for that price.

I think you have to select the "Play anywhere" category. Games that are not there are not available for Windows 10 (in the Windows store).

  • doesnt include dlcs

  • coop/multiplayer aspects not included without some other additional xbox subscription

  • 10 games for PC(win10) only players with the "xbox anywhere" collection (could be wrong if im not understanding that concept well enough)

but still 1$ for recore and gears of war hmmm

Still using win7... gdi, why win10 only :( oh well, not a big deal, the $1 to try some games for a month seems like a great deal though.

I honestly don't know. I'm sure you can use Kb/M for at least a few of them. I cannot imagine playing halo wars using a controller...

They may play better with a controller, but you can use keyboard and mouse or another controller. I'm playing Forza Horizon 3 with a Logitech G29 (PS4) wheel.

But I think an Xbox controller is a great peripheral to have, regardless. It's some of the best money I've spend on hardware of the last decade.
