Hello,
I just wanted to know if it's possible to create a GA for a game that I've won. I'm gonna a bundle where this game is included and would have a second copy of it.

It should be fine as long as you have activated the original win on your profile?

You can create a GA with the second copy you bought within the bundle, but technically not with the one you've won.

That would be no problem as I've activated the game that I've won.

Thank you for your help! :)

I won Frozen Synapse Prime here and upon activating the key, i got another same gift in my library (probably a promotion). So i gave away the gift here and had no problem.

Yep, in fact i think it's quite common. I won Puzzle Agent here, and liked it so much I ended up giving it away several times XD

You can.
I think it's a little weird when people do the opposite though, and give away a game before turning around and entering giveaways for it themselves.

I think it depends on the time frame - I wouldn't give something away and at the same time try to win it (why?), but if you give it away thinking it's not for you and later find out more about it, or didn't like the genre and later you do, and you actually want it then, I think it's fine (I'd still feel weird about it myself, but we can't predict the future ...)

Eh, I just realized I've actually done this a bunch of times though, for wishlist giveaways XD But I specifically bought the copy for giveaways, usually unbundled games. When it's bundles I activate the games I want myself.

Well, I created GAs for games like Quantum Break or Dishonored 2 before I had them for myself and I would have loved to enter my own GAs :D

I even entred GAs for that games while my GA was running. (In the end I never won them so I had to buy me a second copy.... ^^)

It makes sense if you're minmaxing and don't need to play the game right now but would like to in the future. By giving it away early, you secure your CV (especially if it's non-bundled and might get bundled later), ratio and goodwill. If you then win it later, it'll be at a reduced value and 1:1. Of course, you run the risk of never winning it again and having to pay for another copy if you really want it in the future (still at reduced cost, presumably).
Also, for games that you don't plan on playing at all, you'd obviously give away, but still you might want to enter giveaways for them just to collect/idle/whatever.

Doing it sometimes with wishlisted games, because I think they're great and thus great gifts. Still trying to not buy it for myself then due to backlog reasons.

Acutally, this was a concern of mine too. Because there are tools that check and say whether the person has "re-gifted" a game or not. However, I don't believe they have access to the actual keys we win and give, so it is very well possible that a software might give false response. How does the software deal with this issue? I think the best way is to not count it as re-gift as long as the game is also activated in an account. That would not eliminate the possibility of the same key being given twice, but it will make sure the one who's won the key now at least owns the game.

If any devs are reading this, I'd like to know. Is this the case?

Again thanks a lot for your help, guys! :)
In my case, I wasn't sure if I should buy the bundle, just because of two games, but thought: "Why not try to win them?"
Now, I bought the bundle nevertheless.^^
