Just go to a local McDonalds or Starbucks, they usually have free WiFi.
If you're staying at a hotel, they normally provide wifi access as well.

Most places of business offer wifi (some guest, some secure), which will free up some money to spend during your travels. However, if you want that secure layer to give you peace of mind, I suggest Googling.

TL;DR

Here's a couple of Amazon searches. Maybe you can find something here..?
Amazon USA
Amazon UK

Please note I wasn't looking for products that will work on US specific networks, but it should give you a base price range.

Not sure how useful this one will be for you, but I'm including it just in case... GigSky Data SIM Card with 4G LTE / 3G 100MB Mobile Data Plan to Use in USA, UK, Europe, Asia (90+ Countries)

Good luck! And enjoy your visit to the US! :)

It depends on where you are visiting. AT&T and Verizon are the two biggest companies. They should be able to cover all the states you are travelling.

You shouldn't have any problem then. It looks like AT&T has the best coverage according to this coverage map comparison.

mobile+wifi is a hair confusing to me.. if you mean mobile 4g connection for internet, then i'd suggest checking out t-mobile, at&t, or verizon for their services. if you mean mobile wifi rental services literally, then probably mcdonalds, starbucks, & hotel services are your best bet.

either way, have fun on your trip. ^^

i kinda thought that's the one you meant, but with conflicting answers i thought' i'd specify a bit of both myself. ^^

i'd say at&t is your best bet for where you're heading personally though. it seems to have the best coverage for that area.

Comcast sells hotspot access to their "xfinitywifi" i think for like $15 usd /month. The access point is running pretty much everywhere.
