Way to get to where you're at now. It's quite an accomplishment. Despite however difficult it may be, changing one's mindset and perspective opens up worlds of possibility. I wish you the best going forward and encourage you to keep doing what you're doing. And I commend you for offering a listening ear, thank you.

Thank you it really was a lot, all of it. It doesn't seem to end but at least I can smile and look at pretty things! I am also in the middle of trying to find a new place to live :3 In a new part of Canada as well :)

You're welcome. It may not seem to end but I think smiling is a great way to respond! Looking for a new place to live in a new area can be both equal parts exciting and overwhelming. Make sure you get adequate rest and take the time you need so you can make a balanced decision and thank you for the reminder to maintain a hopeful perspective.

That truly is brilliant news. Kudos on beating it and congrats on the marriage and kid. I know it doesn't always help because it's a lot of responsibility but kids are sunshine.
How are you applying that newfound creativity, if I may ask? I always like to read about SGers creative projects.

I feel I'll never get done with my anxiety but I hope one day I can feel that weight lifted like you have with your depression.

https://soundcloud.com/skyforth/l-o-f-i-d-i-f-f-e-r-e-n-t-a-s-p-e-c-t-s/s-XDyW6oPhn6p?si Made this before the depression so hopefully more art and music. I learned how to whistle and now I am playing my synth more + Vocoder. Yes little guy is 15 months and everything is just so bright and wonderful! sleeping in his own new room tonight, the little man!

Also, it took a lot of self discovery, lot of failures and small wins here and there. but losing ones ego and constantly changing for the betterment of myself. Also, couldn't have done it without Psychedelics lmao!

Sleeping in their own room? That's fantastic.

Music sounds like a wonderful thing to feel creative for, and I bet your little one will...help. Or at least provide some inspiration while "helping". Ours loved to explore the keyboard, at that age, particularly the "bells" setting.

Congrats on your positive changes, and remember to take a few photos. It's nice to remind ourselves of these sparkling moments, even as we make more.

Hahaha that's brilliant! And the Princess Bride insert is particularly awesome .
(My gf who loves to play with her MIDI table thought your beat was sick)

Music is a great outlet for feelings positive or negative but it's hard to create when your heart is not in it. I hope you get back to it and it paints your life even brighter.

15 months and everything is just so bright and wonderful! sleeping in his own new room tonight, the little man!

Awww that's just a great age. They are so curious and interactive. Everything is new and awesome. Wish we'd stay a little more like this.
Brand new Big little boy room eh? Good luck :D

Also, couldn't have done it without Psychedelics lmao!

It takes what it takes, my friend. Prescribed meds are not a sure thing and it's not like they're natural anyway. I'm glad it worked for you and that self discovery led you to open your mind more to yourself.

Thank I loved the princess bride so much my whole family did! My mom (when she was alive) approved of the song accept the last part 😂 the joys about being raised in a super religious household I guess! Yes it is just a lot of relearning sadly. Part of the cons to switching priorities and not keeping others :/ yes and he loves his room! Less noise as well as it is farther away from us 😁 Yes I did Zoloft for a bit and only made everything worse haha! Taken a lot of time and a lot of different things but I am just so happy to be here haha! Exactly and trying to be the best person you can be for yourself and others. Something that definitely went into me more deeply.

Relearning is even more fun than learning because your muscle memory will kick in.

Yes I did Zoloft for a bit and only made everything worse haha

Unfortunately our brain chemistry is not as formatted as pharmaceutical companies would hope so it's not one size fits all and what works for others can make us feel worse. You found your happiness and it helps.

Alive, yes, but not living, only surviving, if you catch what I mean. Now you live again, or, as Gandalf would say, you feel life in you again. :)

In that sense, I guess "not awake" is a similar way of putting it.

Exactly, and thinking to myself that I choose this "now" that I choose to be here in that "now". It feels like it gives me power, at least over myself haha!

I agree. It's not that everyone can just choose to be happy, it doesn't work that way, but sometimes, juuust sometimes, you can tell yourself what you need to hear.

Or maybe it's just more that self-doubt and self-sabotage go unnoticed by us when we're down and we don't realize how much of our own worst enemy we can be. I've done that to myself more times than I can count, but in recent years I've focused more on the positive aspects of my life and I feel like I get hit less hard when something bad happens in my life.

It's nice to take baby steps towards a healthier mindset. The little things you can do to keep your head above water start to add up.

Anyway, again, congratulations and I hope the good times last.

Yes, realizing that there is bad and that it sucks. But damn there's some really amazing things in this world too, I just couldn't believe that I shut myself out of those things just because of my viewpoint and where I was at in my life. I agree with focusing just on the positive and not giving those negative thoughts, time and attention. Because they really aren't worth dwelling upon at all.
