I just got Horizon Zero Dawn off Voidu and I almost feel bad because I have so many great games in my backlog but I couldn't resist it.

Please don't feel bad! I know how you feel. I have a huge backlog, but I'm also a collector. And at some point, you won't feel bad anymore. :)

Heh I can't wait til I hit that point!

But yeah seriously, I have so many good games still to play! But I also have a new laptop that does incredibly well on graphics intensive game and it would be a shame not to test the hell out of it on gorgeous recent games, right? ;)

True. Imagine if you don't test your laptop - especially the graphics card. You would have wasted a lot of money. ;)

aw you can't feel bad about getting such a great game! i hope you get around to playing it soon. the sequel was just as good.

It's more an issue of being weak willed lol. I told myself "there's a new sale every 2 months, dude, you have games you want to play, so you'll be fine" and meanwhile my fingers were dancing on the keyboard and before you know it... ;)
It is a great game though. And I would have paid even more for it if I had been able to hold myself but again, weak-willed lol

oh yeah, i know that feeling all too well. horizon was one of those games that i immediately started after buying it and i think it's totally worth it. those playstation ex-exclusives always get me. the worst are the games i pay a premium for and never get around to playing.. i bought hitman 3 a week or so after it hit steam and still haven't played it. i know it'll consume me for at least a month, and just haven't been able to take the dive yet. don't put horizon in that box lol.

Haha right? Uncharted has been calling my name and I haven't even played Beyond Two Souls yet. I have to keep some maintenance of self control.

i know it'll consume me for at least a month, and just haven't been able to take the dive yet.

It's tough when you know you'll get sucked in and you can't commit to playing it properly right away.

don't put horizon in that box lol.

Definitely won't. I have AC Valhalla to finish but I'm almost done and I'll start playing Horizon right after that so hopefully I'll be able to sink some wonderful holiday time into it without having to set a timer on myself like I have to do with immersive games (for fear of looking at the clock and noticing I have spent the night playing lol)

When I look at my library I don’t if I should buy any games, but I really want to get mass effect legendary edition and red dead redemption 2.

RDR 2 is really cheap now and I don't think the price will decrease in the future.

Don't we all...
But really, RDR2 has been out long and likely to drop much lower, so if you have the time to get into right away...indulge yourself? :)

I actually brought both, so I can stay away the grinding of the new monster hunter rise update. If there is no huge discount around Christmas, these two games probably will conclude the year.

I don't know if I'll buy anything on Steam. I'm investing more towards the Switch at the moment, I recently got the Bioshock trilogy secondhand and I'm looking into buying Big Brain Academy secondhand also.
But yeah, Mass Effect is tempting.

mmmm The Switch 2 is coming mid 2023, and I'm fairly certain you can play all games from the switch on it. Maybe hold off until that? Of it you hate it, wait for the sudden influx of used switches once they come out from people getting rid of their old ones>

I have my doubts about the Switch 2 and I already own the console, I'm just acquiring more games to play. As you say, any game should be playable on the new version whenever it comes out, and buying secondhand you have to jump on the opportunity, the games might not be available two years later.

The Talos Principle
Cleo - a pirate's tale
Ever Seen A Cat
Ever Seen A Cat 2
Ever Seen A Cat 3
Hidden Cats in Paris

I was planning on just Cleo and the cat HOG's but someone in my discord assured me that The Talos Principle has better endings than the witness that wasn't complete nonsensical garbage.

The Talos Principle is a great game. If you like these kind of games, you will love it!

EDIT:
If you like HOGs with cats, these games maybe something for you:

Battlefield 4 and Halo Reach. I also got GRID 2019 but I shortly refunded it. With my spare 5 euro, I'm not sure on which titles to get, perhaps NFS Hot Pursuit? Or expand my Halo collection with another game? Or Battlefield 5? Too many good choices.
