I just want to mention for anyone not aware, there is no giftlink option for this giveaway. Meaning if you already own the game and get a key you will be in violation of HB's TOS as keys are for personal use only. Doing something like this can make it so you will no longer get support from HB when you need it. You could also loose the ability to buy from them as well as have any games in your HB account revoked and refunded if possible.

If you leave it covered there's no violation. After the giveaway ends you can request to have that giveaway page removed from your HB account.

Shoudn't they warn about this? I mean if they somehow check against linked Steam accounts they clearly should just block the freebie instead of allowing picking up the key for an owned game and then going after customers.

In a perfect world they should but basically you're expected to have read the TOS so it's an easy excuse for them to label you a commercial reseller and deny you support if you have any issues.

That's a pretty bold statement speaking for everyone who gets a key. If you actually believe that you're pretty naive. As I mentioned if you get a key they are for personal use only. Feel free to contact the HB support team and ask them yourself. As far as their TOS goes here it is. Spend some time reading it and you can answer your own questions about what's allowed and what's not.
