Looks like we got us a convooooy

realtalk, Convoy was just okay for me. It's like FTL but feels like it requires a higher investment in time and energy learning the game to actually enjoy it. Kinda felt intimidated by the (very short amount of) time I played it. Organ Trail though, now that's a good game. Very easy to pick up and play, if I am remembering it right. I still have a postcard from the dev's booth at PAX East a few years ago!

Personally I've enjoyed Convoy a lot. I would not say it's like FTL, but you are right, there are quite some similarities (planning action during pause, random encounters) and it's probably the closest comparison available. The entry level felt not too difficult for me and the MadMax vibe, together with the imo great soundtrack, really got me excited. Where the game lacks a bit is replayability because it does not offer much variety, so your strategy will often be the same, especially in terms of preparing for the boss fight. So while not as good as FTL (not that easy to beat a masterpiece) definitely a recommendation from me for friends of the genre (FTL, Dungeon of the Endless...) and easily worth the asked price.

Have not played Organ Trail so far.
