They updated their Facebook post again. Now it reads:

"Hi Team Humongous. Here's some quick follow up on our registration promotion.

1. If you received a confirmation of your membership yesterday and it said you would recieve a free HE game - you will!
2. Be patient, because of the volume of the response, we need to make a few a adjustments to our system before we send them to you.

Got an email with a claim code in it just now but it doesn't work on Steam and when I click it, it says it's an invalid link. Anyone else having the same problem?

Be on the lookout for an email from WinGameStore and when you click claim it will show invalid code. Just remove the HTML elements at the end of the url.
After that just sign up and go to Download options in My Games section. You can find the Steam key there.
