While the majority of my GA's are private, group, or level required, remember we all have to start somewhere. Try and think back to you first registered. I'm level 5 myself, with 35-45 GA's planned over the next couple weeks, and (a small amount, admittedly) will be public for this reason.

Yeah, it is true, we all have to start somewhere. My first 2 giveaways for example were public and had no level requirement and the funny story is that I randomly went to galagiveaways after my 2nd giveaway ended and I saw that the winner was regifting the game there. When I first registered, I made giveaways, I didn't feel entitled to win anything and I don't think that anyone should.

Well, it's up to everyone to give away their games however they please and from my personal experience, level 0 users are here just to leech and don't care about the community. I agree that private giveaways are not a perfect idea either, but at least that way entries are limited to people who actually bother to check the community forums.
Then again CV restricted giveaways are also not a great idea due to CV being easily exploitable and in the end the best way to give away games in my opinion is through whitelist giveaways since you have absolute control over who is on your whitelist and that's how you can reward valuable members of the community.
Those are of course my opinions and everyone has theirs.

I think that the people who host just forum giveaways , are missing the point of the whole giveaway thing ...
yeah there is the whole idea of community , etc... fairytale stuff ...
Most people here , are here to get games for free ... cause either they are greedy assholes , or they cant afford them .

I agree on the point tho , that there are some people who just need to be punched in the face, with a chair ,,, twice ,,, cause they are the cancer of the community ( couple of my friends fit that aswell ) ...
Like for example 1 of my friends made account , won a giveaway ( day 1 ) ... and instantly tough to give it away cause he didnt like the game he won ........ Not my friend anymore .
But then again , the whole White/blacklist thing ... its kinda ridiculous .
I found people blacklisting me just cause i dared speak against their supreme leaders , or cause i pointed a flaw in what they ware doing ...
or cause QUOTE i left their steam group ... which i only joinedd cause steamcompanion forced me to to enter a GA .

As for the whitelist thing , yeah ...i actually really like the idea of that .
You add people you know are cool in it , and host a nice GA only for them ...
But thats just in special ocasions imo ...
I see that kinda sites , as a source of games i cant afford to buy , ... and i enter pretty much only for stuff in my wishlist.

I had a bad scenario like your case with someone that had won one of my giveaways and for some reasons i needed their permission to deletion that GA !. I contacted them and they said " you should give me a game if you want my permission for that giveaway deletion " and i made a shot of that chat box then sent it to SG support and support deleted that giveaway without their permission !.
I think you could use the same way : capture a shot of their conversion with you and sent it to support as a proof for Reroll !
And yes, That person proudly added to my blacklist and they are currently only blacklisted person in my list :3

According to http://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/XaCbA/list-of-all-cv-levels-and-their-corresponding-real-cv, there are some 720-750 000 users. I am not sure how one could really filter them (giving away in groups with 50-100 members is just not the way in my opinion).
What is possible to do here is tracking/blacklisting the user cowmoobaby is probably talking about.

Feel kinda bad about those people who won your giveaways and now will look like it's them that are dicks. First thing I've done was checking your profile if they decided to click received, seen some greennames and were this close to auto-blacklist, but then I noticed number of copies :(

yeah he said he will not mark it as received he is the second person that won the level 2 giveway as I stated above. After seven days I will report him as he definately has the game and force the feedback!!=> His dumbness as I do lots of giveaways!!

Lets to talk about a scenario :
Your giveaway Ended . You add the winner and accidentally send him/her wrong game then he/she starting to use Foul-mouthed & rude behaviour . So in this situation that you didnt send him/her the correct gift YET , Can we withhold sending gift to that person and contact support with a proof for his/her rude and bad behaviour for Reroll ?

i bought the correct game directly from steam and then when it asked what i wanted done with it i said send it directly through email to him he has the game there is nothing i can do about it. I can not get it back.

Here is what happened steamgifters you decide blacklist or not? Made give away for level 2 sent gift to winner accidently sent them wrong game from my inventory my fault. They told me so I sent them the correct game now they won't give the wrong game back no big deal my fault. In addition they say they won't mark the correct game as received until they "feel like activating it" Should I blacklist them or not you get to decide? Interesting everyone says blacklist but no one votes=>
Update #2 The guy just sent me another email with this "ok, sorry but i have to give you negative feedback... i entered in a Witcher 2 giveaway" after I sent him this as proof that i had sent him the correct game:

Update #3 After typing this I have added him to the blacklist he is only the second person on my blacklist. The first person got there for the same reason refusing to mark a giveaway I sent him as received after he activated the game; I had to contact support to have to fixed in my profile!
Update #4 I will be contacting support after the seven days has past to report him i bought the game and sent the gift directly from the buy screen he has the game, since it was never in my inventory I cannot reclaim the game from him. I can not request a reroll the best i can do is report him and force feedback for it and hope they ban him for this.
