For all the folks of SG that like to win games. In the month of July I will be doing my first ever train....
Too be honest. I am new at making such things. Would love to ask for tips on how to create some.
Also... On the 30th it happens to be my Twin Sister's birthday as well...Stumped on trying to figure out what to get her though.
This is what my Twin sis is like....
-Loves Animals
-Talented Artist
-Likes anything Gothic or Sailor Moon stuff. Fruit Basket even!

Last year on our 25th Bday I got her an Artists stand with painters canvas with water colors/Oil paints but this time I like to get her something different. I thought of getting her the whole season of the Classic Sailor Moon series (American/Jap Version), A Nightmare before Christmas Shirt of Jack Skellington. But tell me your suggestions below.

Nice~ I was thinking me and my Sister going up to Denny's to get a Free breakfast meal on our Bday. Which honestly they give out free Breakfast to anyone with a legitimate Birthday on that day. Pancakes, Sausage, Eggs and Toast. The works really.

Also you got Whitelisted bud. Hope things continue to go well for you!

You can buy her an action figure from Sailor Moon, preferably of a darker character since she's into Gothic stuff (or of her favorite character if you know who it is).
Happy birthday to both of you.

Probably. But to be blunt.... I don't think she enjoys the appeal of Action Figures... I haven't seen her with a barbie since.... Age 4? Since then she hasn't had any since our dog ripped the head off Ken and chewed up Barbie's Chest. True story. His name was Smokey.

Also Thanks! You also got Whitelisted.

Well action figures shouldn't always be of girlish characters, if this series she's into is too soft for her taste, you can buy her an action figure of something darker that she likes, like that guy from A Nightmare before Christmas.
Trust me, action figures are always a good gift. :D
Also thanks for whitelisting me, whitelisted you too.

No problem. Sort of limited on Funds right now which $100 is all I have at the moment and I was thinking of somehow managing that most of the money would go towards getting my Sister a good gift. While having some left over to at least manage a decent Giveaway train of value.

Last Year she got me a 2nd Megaman TShirt (She forgot she gotten me one for Christmas the year before) Some Strawberry Rice Krispies from Japan, Pocky Sticks, and an Sonic the Hedgehog Energy Drink called SPEED. She always outgifts me. Due to her having a job and all.

I am just a guy staying at home caring for my disabled Father on Government $ out in the middle of no-where. Hoping to be something of a personality of sorts online in the Gaming world.

Maybe it's because I'm poor but honestly I don't think the value of your gift matters that much, you could buy her a flower and make her happy as if you bought her a hundred dollars gift.
Also don't feel bad about being jobless. Either you or your sister should stay home and care for your father, you could have a job and then she would've been the one who stays home.
Anyway hope you find a suitable gift for your sister, don't be too picky and you can easily find the best gift ever. :D

The thing is..... Her Husband bought me a very expensive custom PC for me to use for Streaming my games. As an early Birthday present while I was over there one day on the weekend to help her with her household touchups. He got me a very powerful rig and I felt really bad if I didn't at least show the both of them I care as much as they do in return... I know something would be simple as a flower. But I like something for her to remember me by whenever she has it.

I left my previous job to care for my ailing mother 3 years ago. She's in a better place now that I chose family over a job. Though....In todays economy money seems to put pressures on those even with the tightest of bonds of Family where sometimes doing a wrong choice could bring tragedy to the family. I do my best but sometimes my best is just isn't enough. I gotta try harder. To not just help my family succeed. But for them to be happy even if I must fail a couple of times to do so.

I know you need money for everything but not everything can be fixed with money. Sometimes having less money and more love makes your life more enjoyable and worth living.

True enough. Thats why I quit my $8.25 an hour cap job at a grocery store. Sure it put me in a deep spot and made some dumb decisions. Some people may even call it retarded at the time But the news of my mother dying was enough to make me angry at my workplace where they denied me to go see my sick mother. So I had to walk out on them. *to be blunt I should of given them the 2 Week notice but it was so abrupt about the news. Hearing my sickly mothers voice over the phone. I had to do something.
It is what it is. No job in the world should hold you to chains when your love ones are dying without your presence that you were raised from.
Seeing my mother was top priority and I am not going to regret it. Even though it did piss alot of co-workers/supervisors off at the place.

I'm not here to give any recommendations since her style seems to be completely opposite to mine, but as a result of your thread I had to google Sailor Moon. To be perfectly honest, I had COMPLETELY different expectations.
Just here to wish happy birthday to the both of you, hope you'll have an awesome birthday! :D

Perhaps give her the chance to try her hand at pottery? There are a lot of "Coffee and Canvas" places popping up and many of them also have pottery. They serve fine coffee and you learn to make some type of pottery thing. You can visit a few days to weeks later, once the clay has set, to glaze it for a few bucks more, then they fire it and you pick it up. I did that for a friend who is artistic and she really enjoyed it.

theres a neat website called thinkgeek that has a whole anime section. I would link it but I think thats against the rules. They have stuff like this

I would definitely agree with your Sailor Moon series idea though, because owning the collection would be cool. Or the whole Fruit Basket series

I wish I can give anice suggestion but I guess I don't know enough about your sister. But I usually like to give sentimental gifts that are more practical rather than just for show. For example one of the gifts I gave my gf last year was a pocket mirror but the cover is hand drawn with Persian art straight from Iran. So she gets the art that she loves so much and she can use it all the time.
Let me know if I can help out more!
Happy early birthday to both of you!

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Also I will try to respond to everyone in one post.

@nopzor Thank you for the kind wishes and yes Sailor Moon is a weird name for something. But hey it was great watching it in the 90's before school and Megaman. I always laugh when Tuxedo Mask comes in and then talks for a bit then leaves. I was easily entertained by it even though it was aimed at girls.

@PLAYER8 Since she has a job and I sort of have a time crunch with her nowadays we hardly ever see each other due to her and her husband's job at a Manufacturing company. But before then we did do Jewelry and bead necklaces. She liked them but then she prefer doing artistry with brushes and finger paints.

@stefg4815, shakeebthe1, SadisticChicken, and Razvanssj10
Thank you for the suggestions and wishes! I will try and brainstorm on how I can get her the best present with the amount of cash I have while not breaking the entire $100. Afterall I would like some of it to go to the community in celebration.

Had to Google it but I haven't heard of them before. My internet is sort of limited in a way I can't stream much music or videos but so far a Metal band sounds more my Sister's and her husbands cup of tea. Tho I do enjoy metal. As much as I like playing Brutal Legend with various of Metal songs blaring while I tear enemies up with an axe.

But If I do listen. I bet I would like them too.

try something like within temptation - mother earth / stand my ground ... also watch the black simphony from 2008 , the new albums are pretty commercial but please just remember them as they lived till 2008 :D I don't like them now... but they were indeed the best.

Thanks for whitelisting :D

Take her somewhere fun. Experiences are more memorable than things. Like puzzles? Do an escape room. Like sports? Go see a game. Wanna be a kid? Find an amusement park and ride the bumper cars or go play mini golf.

Just give her your time and she'll probably appreciate it more than something that sits on a shelf.

Happy birthday to both of you, getting her the whole season of the Classic Sailor Moon series seems like a nice idea, I remember my friend watching it when we were like 8 or 9 years old, I didn't like it then :p I'd wrap it in some paper that wouldn't suggest what is inside, I'd even try to make her think it is something she hates :p

Ultimately, if you two are fairly close and you're getting her a gift, I know it's cliche, but it really is just the thought that counts. If you get her anything she can use for her art, or anything based on the things she likes, she'll be overjoyed. It doesn't really matter too much so long as it shows her you were thinking of her. If you just know that, giftgiving really isn't too hard.

Gotta +1 what scuazmooq said too. Just go out and do something with her. Time and memories are more important than things.

Good luck though man and happy birthday (:

Thanks everyone! I will do my best to make her the most cherished twin Sister in the world I ever had.
Possibly treat her to a spa day at the mall. She's been busting her butt all this time to finance a new car and bills and such.
She could use the relaxation such as Tea and chocolates and maybe a bit of pie. Also if I can manage it Something Gothic and Sailor Moon esque would be a nice touch but it is true. Time together is the most valuable part family can ever have. Even for twins.

I gave her a necklace a couple months ago from a Indiebox for Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime which had a two piece Necklaces which feature a Broken heart. Where one person holds the other half and the other for the lover or friend. I gave it to her saying that its a Anniversary gift to her and her husband but she says she can't wear it at work and her Hubby doesn't like jewlery on him So She keeps it just in case whenever she can wear it. She has the entire heart necklace as Other then my mother. She is the closest one who has the most heart out of my family.

Kalamazoo Museum might be worth the trip. If only my sister didn't visit it daily already XD I am sure her other friends brought her there before and I don't think the exhibit would be any different. Nevertheless its a good suggestion!

Ceder Point/Michigan Adventure might be good ideas but then again... The travelling would take up most of the day and she would be going straight back to work the day after. No Bueno : / gotta be something close like a Drive in Movie.

She already seen X-Men. She thought it sucked. Her Husband thought so too.
I seen TMNT out of Shadows with my Father. and I thought it was good. Tho I am not much of a fan of Xmen either.

Weird thing though.... My mother liked Teddies and I do too. Always made it a habit to snag a teddie from a Crane game since they are soooo soft for my neck. Nice for decorations too. Still have the one my mother cherished I got her from the bowling alley when I was but 11 years old on a Mother and Son Bowling day.

My sister though? She like some plushes but she grew out of them mostly.
If its related to Sailor Moon Luna or Artemis she might squeal like a fangirl.

Also thanks for the Early Birthday Wishes.

Well I don't know if your sister is into scarves, but I had huge success lately with scarves with a theme that she could relate to.
Especially if she is into Gothic, it would be easy to find some good scarves. Or even more, if you want to gift her a complete outfit. You could add gauntlets, chains and more for example.

Armor and anything Viking related is more her Husband's taste and if I could I would try to do something in totally regarding the armor.
My Sister is sort of into cosplay (to be honest I would like to do it someday too as Vyse the Legend from Skies of Arcadia. I have the hair and eyes but not the clothes)

But Scarves would be a good thing. While I am out and about at the mall I see about getting her something she enjoys wearing. Scarves is an excellent choice considering Summer would nearly end and fall would be beginning.

Just be careful that your selection isn't too "special". It shouldn't be just fun to look at, she should also like to wear it.

By "gauntlet" I didn't mean real armor. Gauntlets are also clothing and they are essential for gothic costumes for women. And they are sexy as hell. ;)

Ah. well considering that would mostly be a gift from her hubby. I am sure the speciality would be filled out by him. While I may get her somethng more convention approving. Like say a Sailor Moon outfit.

Though her favorite is Sailor Jupiter.
