So one of my giveaways has literally just ended and unfortunately one of my keys I gave was already activated by myself (I just didn't tick it off as redeemed), however now the winner has left negative trade feedback on my account. I've already explained to them that we're given 7 days to rectify any issues and that I will purchase a new copy for them, but I'm wondering if this can be removed as it's totally uncalled for. I've never traded in my life, but don't want this hanging over me.

Haha but even if they get the game within the 7 days? They're currently offline atm.

Oh, they left you actual trade feedback, they didn't just mark not received. Admins can probably help you out in that case.

Yeah they left trade feedback for a giveaway that just ended, even though I've never traded on Steam :)

Well they shouldn't have left trade feedback for a giveaway period so worst case scenario you'd contact support and they'd help you out. Best case, you send them the game and they change it.

They can actually get in trouble for misuse of trade feedback as in this case. What he CAN do is wait the 7 day period and mark it as not received but leaving you a trade feedback he can actually get a suspension himself. You can contact support for this and they'll probably remove it.

Trade feedback tickets will take a long time to resolve, just FYI

There's no chance of him not receiving it though. I always follow through with the giveaway even if it costs me. It's the whole raison d'être of this site I guess.

Honestly if I where you I wouldn't even bother giving the game to that guy, such an entitled douche for giving fake -rep hours after winning a game, maybe rerolling is an option? The guy did break the rules after all & someone who's been around for over a year should know better then that.

Be aware though that support only has 1 person who can modify rep, so assuming nothing has drastically changed the last month it might take anywhere from 2 weeks to 8 months for it to be resolved.

Sorry to ear about this. That person need to read the FAQs. Can't give u a trade feedback since he/she was not involved in any trade with you, only was an issue with a key/gift from a GA. Some ppl simple had a bad attitude. I hope that person reconsider and remove the negative feedback or if not, some admin can fix that.

A winner cannot mark the game "not received" until seven days have passed. Even if they do not receive the gift and mark it "not received," that can be changed at a later date. (You give them the gift, and they more it "received.")

Giveaways are something totally unrelated to Trading. Giving bad trade feedback for anything other than trading is misuse of trade feedback and subject to punishment. If you have not already done so, make a ticket (Misuse of Trade Feedback) for it.

I've added you all to my whitelist for an upcoming Batman Arkham Knight Premium Edition giveaway as a mark of thanks, which only you (those who have already commented) may enter. I haven't created it yet as the game could be delayed, but it should be soon :)

what the heck are you saying sorry for O.o
You won't have to reason with random internet stranger about who you like & want to give chance to give game to.

I looked at your profile, and now it says, that you have 2 positive, and 0 negative feedback. If he left it on your Steam profile itself, you can delete it easily. Anyways Trade feedback is for real trades, not giveaways, but I'm happy to see that it was resolved quickly.

That's really kind of you, I mean that you made a GA for an already redeemed key, and you'd buy the game even for full price to give it to the winner. There should be more people like you on SG :)

Just so you know guys, the giveaway is up. I hope to give away another copy which will be open to everyone else, but I'm not sure as I'm getting the R9 Fury X later this month. If possible, please lock this thread.
