Shoehorned in PvP in a coop game, just like in KF2? No thanks. Especially when game is still somewhat poorly balanced.

Balance is heresy in the Warhammer Universe

That's hardly an excuse when you have certain weapons or classes being significantly better without any drawbacks, like Axe and Falchion.

Idk, i rarely play the game but when i play it it's to have fun. I don't care about balance and i don't want a second for it to become a competitive game.

It's not about it being competitive, it's about some choices being straight up better than the others. Be it classes, weapons or talents (especially talents), it decreases variety.

I never understood this desire to stick PvP everywhere, even in places it seriously has no place being.

I think this is one of the games that doesn't make sense it didn't have before.

I spend hundreds of hours on L4D2 just because of Versus.

Why not play an actual PvP game then?
Something I am missing?

Well, who said we won't play PVP only?

Plus, since the devs are the ones who "stick" PVP to their game, think from their perspective. Why not add it to your existing game instead of creating a new PVP game?

People have been asking for PvP in Vermintide since before Vermintide 1 released. I don't know if it's too little too late now that the game's playerbase is relatively low but I hope it's fun.

So have people for PAYDAY2. Still makes it a terrible idea.
And how often now does mp gets forced on something cause "demand" and nobody ever plays it?

if you really hate pvp in these games just avoid it, it's gonna be an optional game mode

People are asking for a skink, vampire, greenskin, norscan, bretonnian etc. character aswell, doesn't mean it's a good idea.

I agree it doesn't automatically mean it'll be good but pvp worked very well for L4D and this game is essentially a copy of that so I think the gameplay is sound. The problem as I said is the low playerbase and also Fatshark has a reputation for buggy releases so they might screw it up.

I guess when pvp comes, it will bring some players that stop playing Vermintide 2 just like me. Not sure for how long though.

The idea is interesting, but I wonder how they'll incorporate item/player levels, or if they'll just disregard them in the gamemode. However, the playerbase is relatively small to add a verses mode, even if it is just 4v4, so it might be difficult to find people to play with. Also, I wonder how levels with main bosses will work, as they are already pretty difficult without having to deal with a bunch of specials. It makes me shudder to think of playing Skittergate with player-controlled special enemies as well. Another thing to consider is that grimoires will most likely be avoided completely if special enemies spawn at the rate that L4D specials were able to spawn. There's a large potential to completely mess it up, since there are more factors to the game than L4D had, but I hope for the best even if it is a long shot.
