hey, i only played DR2 on ps3 in the past and loved it! and DR3 on PC i read it is too easy on normal, im no real fan of the timer even in DR2 even if it is normal in the series, i love normally to checkout the beautiful shops etc. but ok i accept ;), but here come the questions cause i started on NIGHTMARE!

  • i see no save toilets? on the map, i dont need them i think as im used to go to the safe houses like in DR2 so i guess it is nightmare mode related?
  • i read a lot that people say you dont have much time for side missions and psychos? in DR2 you couldnt get all done in 1 run but i had time for some side missions and psychos, is it different in DR3?
  • what happens IF i have not enough time left at my 1st playthrough and loose, can i start a new round with my existing levelled up character?
  • otherwise i saw a NO Timer mod, but i dont want it stopped but i saw you can double the time from 3 to 6 days :P

thx

NEW POONTS

hi guys :D!

thx for having this community, first of, my first experience with dead rising is DR2 on ps3 as i had no xbox in the past. and i really love DR2! i played maybe 3-5 times i dont remember anymore.... it had a nice balance, nice difficulty etc.

i started DR3 2 days ago and was starting RIGHT OFF with nightmare mode as i read it feels more like older dead risings but here are some problems i feel in my playthough atm!

  1. the timer seems WAY faster? i mean i play 5 hours and am already at 3 days and 20 hours left for bombing, i collected some collectibles, didnt free roam much at all and made 2 side quests. i googled and people say they had around 10 hours left only following the main missions. this is very bad in my opinion cause in DR2 i couldnt do everything in my 1st playthrough sure, but here you cannot do anything? bad balanced?

  2. if thats the case nightmare mode is a fail for me.... cause how can you then get the side quests done on one playthrough later? the time is not there, and you cannot restart chapters but the whole game in nightmare mode.

  3. is there no way to have the time limit doubled or something? or the normal mode with hard zombies from nightmare mode?

  4. i will check following MODs, 60 FPS, FOV but which can you recommend too?

  5. im not against the timer, but i find the normal mode sounds fine as i dont really need a timer in those games but i accepted it in dr2 and had no prob, but normal mode zombies are way too easy and people write this a lot and i dont want this game to be so easy. DR2 was a very nice balance!

thanks a lot

Hey hey so yeah if the timer runs out you can just new game and you will still have all your levels and stats.
You can choose to start a new game whenever and you will retain all of your levels, blueprints and stats, that's how dead rising games work.

When I played through Dead Rising 3 I got around to doing all the side missions from what I recall.
Dead Rising 4 doesn't at all have a timer so it was a lot of fun to play through that game and not have to miss anything.

I played the game through on Normal from what I recall, its Dead Rising, its supposed to be easy and fun, that's the whole vibe, how stupid would it be if your running around in a stupid mix up of costume pieces and the game was difficuty, wouldn't fit with the image XD.

Stupid fun is what I play the Dead Rising games for, not to challenge myself but relax, enjoy a silly story and make gore mash out of zombies :)
