While normally you are prevented from entering giveaways for games you own, however there is nothing preventing you from entering giveaways for removed games that you already own.

While you can blacklist such games if you notice it, that still kinda requires you track all removed games you own and still lets other people who own the games enter the giveaway.

How should Steamgifts "see" games you have removed from your account?

TastySalamanders means games removed from Steam store, not from account

Just find them using the search function and hide the game.

Nothing new about that, Steam did that change to the API a while ago (removed games used to be detectable) and there's nothing SG can do about it :/
I hide those games whenever I notice a GA for them. And when I create a GA for those, I put a warning in the description so that people at least check ownership before viewing the key. Not much more we can do... Thanks Valve :s

Even with a warning you probably get lots of entries from users which already own the game. Last time I had to ask for a reroll 5 times.

Well, for those I set a higher than usual level requirement. I don't think I ever had to reroll more than once, but maybe it was just luck ^^ I don't really mind rerolling anyway, as long as the key hasn't been revealed

You can use SteamWebIntegration, it will show you the games you have, even if it is removed from the store or if it's a DLC.

Oh, did they add the feature finally to it? I have to check the settings.

This is in there since a long time, isn't it?

I haven't checked for a while, but at least previously it didn't have the option.
Now that I'm looking, there is a new feature actually that shows owned games, have to test if it works with removed games and dlc's.

EDIT: It does work with DLC's so I assume that it also works with removed games.

This issue is caused by Steam rather than Steamgifts, or at least that is my understanding of it

Thats the same like the DLC. You cannot change that.

Why enter a giveaway for a game you already own? Why enter a giveaway without checking to see which game is being given away?

It seems to me that going through life on "auto-pilot" is bound to complicate matters....

ESGST can mark these and owned dlc on all pages.
