Yeah, but last I heard, Steam's video viewer was still as much a mess as ever, and you couldn't watch the videos off of Steam. There's a lot better options out there, and I believe generally at much better pricing.

It was a good game - weird, but still good. That ending especially was.......whaaaattt?! xD And it looks a bit similar to Life is Strange in some aspects. :P You'll never see me liking anything anime-related, but this game was the exception.

Ending? This game has no ending, just a cliffhanger before next chapter. Funny thing is, there will be no next chapter.
I'm so fucking sad about that, because I wanted to recommend it to everyone, but it's hard to recommend something that probably will never be finished :(

SWERY is healthy now and just opened a new studio, and it looks like he's back into game development in a more independent capacity. I'm not sure about any potential legal or contractual entanglements with respect to rights to the D4 franchise, but it is at least one positive step towards the possibility of more seasons.
I'm not holding my breath on it, but I wouldn't rule it out completely just yet.

Ah that's a bummer. But still, stranger things have happened, and as D4 didn't seem to sell all that well anyways perhaps the current rights holder could be convinced to let it go or license it for a reasonable amount. I'm certainly not expecting anything to happen, but will keep at least a sliver of hope alive since I think the game has a fairly strong cult following.

I tried watching Bungou Stray Dogs but it was constantly jumping from "serious story progression" to "exaggerated reactions and disappointing comedy sequences". Couldn't stand it. :(

I can understand that, sometimes it tried to hard.
But Dazai is a great character to me and the way they "adapted" the books and authors to their abilities and personalities.

It's kind of sad that Anime games always only get Anime game discounts. Pace yourself weebs and don't buy as many Weeb games then they will get better discounts.

These games are niche enough that if that's what people that love these games want to try, it actually might not show up on Steam at all. As long as the discounts are consistent I'm happy with getting anything at whatever (reasonable) price.

I'm not entirely sure if I understood that correctly but you're saying that if those people would refrain from buying at moderate discounts those games would disappear from Steam at all because they wouldn't be profitable enough ?
Fair enough considering this whole Anime craze on Steam is a rather fresh trend but I just find it weird that while AAA games like Doom go 50% off 3 month after release most Visual Novels or other Anime games (even some that have been around for years) get 10% or 20% discounts.

I think, in my person opinion, that the anime stuff really is just a "niche" thing and sort-of suffers because of it. The hyperdimension neptunia games are, I think, a good example as there's a few of them now but they're definitely some niche JRPGs that go on sale rarely. Not even sure if that series sells well. Then there's of course the sakura series of Vnovels/the overall high quality Vnovels(such as Eden or Narcissu), and probably a lot more I can't think of right now. The anime stuff in video game form is very niche AFAIK.

That was pretty much my conclusion. It's very much alike Slitherine for example whose games also hardly go on steep discounts and who also gets away with it because complex, turn-based Strategy is also a rather niche gerne and those people who like it are willing to spend a little more because they are passionate about those games.

Yeah, sad how games like Heroes of Might and Magic are the exact same way because, I suppose as it relates to your turn-based Strategy example, they are very niche and aren't example a genre that many people are into.
Unless I just said the exact same thing as you said, but either way, yeah, some niche games suffer from being niche in the first place. I almost only ever buy games on sale now, too. It's better to save any money than not to.

It's not necessarily a bad thing though... (well, it obviously is for us customers) but on the other hand I do respect developers who believe in their games and don't sell them for pennies instead of going the tinyBuild route and fuck over release buyers by giving away their games for free just weeks after release just to complain afterwards about resellers and G2A.

It's like you get blacklisted for whatever reason. The other day I made a thread in which anyone could go a complain for having bad luck in the giveaways and in less than 3 hours I got blacklisted by 15 users, now 20. I don't get why too.

The game: A killer story, you try to survive.
The anime: Tell the story about what happened in the world before and after Danganrompa 1.

But for Fairy Fencer F. This is a story focused game with light RPG elements. There are two versions: FF Advent Dark force and fairy Fencer F original which is $6. Both are the same story except Advent Dark Force is improved graphics and added a couple ending routes. The story is 90% the same. Also it increase Party to 6 instead of 3 or 4 I believe
