Hello beautiful people.

I have blindfoldedly (does that word even exist?) bought what it seems to be by now one of my favorite games: Kingdoms of Amalur.

I am VERY picky with games and very weird. I have difficulty and troubles understanding most games' mechanics because of a disorder I have.

I bought that one thinking "meh, another one I'll try and give up on it right away". But I didn't! I am actually enjoying it a lot! And I feel great about it, really! Not understanding much of the storyline, but I am trying, and the quests are easy enough to get into, and I love the combat system. Kinda reminds me of DmC.

So I would like to ask what would be a good game to follow this one, you know, kind of the same gameplay. Just to see if I can get into other games.

Thanks in advance!

Which one?

Any of them really, though most people feel the earlier ones are better. Fable Anniversary, then Fable 2, and Fable 3 last, they all pretty much play a lot like Kingdoms of Amalur.

I would also suggest the Two World games. When I was playing KoA, I always was brought back to thinking about the Two World series, though it may be a bit more complicated.

Well I'd say one of the Souls games, despite the fighting being different from that DmC style of hack 'n' slash gameplay. If you have a gaming console you can always try Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen.

The Dark Souls games?

No consoles here unfortunately, but thanks for recommending.

Yeah Dark Souls and Dark Souls II, those should appeal to you in some way. Aw too bad, I played Kingdoms of Amalur myself and ended up enjoying Dragon's Dogma even more. Such an awesome and underrated game.

Anyway, cheers!

It seems like a great game, the first one, but I think my laptop won't handle it very well.

Dragon's Dogma is a console exclusive, that's why I mentioned consoles. ^^

Fable 1 and 3 or maybe Jade Empire or Mass Effect if you don't mind sci-fi

Risen 1 (2 and 3 should be avoided), and if you don't mind older games, Gothic 1 and 2 for sure.

You could try Darksiders, although the combat there isn't as smooth as in KoA

I'd be happy if they patched in fov slider and much higher difficulty settings. Original developers planned to do that before going bankrupt.

I'd be very happy, it is a great game!

Maybe they will go over the code and fix the game finally?
