Solution:

  1. Find the shortest path.
  2. Mark each turn left or right (left as A, right as B).
  3. Decipher with Baconian ("second"/26-character version): RLLRRLLRLLRLLRLRLLRR -> BAABBAABAABAABABAABB -> TEST

Aaah, of course it was Baconian with the bacon in the bottom left corner.

By hand. Had to try around 10 different words to finally find one that could be turned into a maze.

I was so close!!!! DAMN IT! never heard of a baconian cypher, and I was googling for up down left right cyphers! :(

Wouaw. Nice. I had the counts of lefts and rights. But I did not realize that would fit baconian cipher. Congrats to all solvers!
