Not every game there has a discount and yesterday AC didn't either, but it's possible it's not a bug.

Nah, it isn't a bug.

That's why I said it's possible it's not a bug. My point was more that being on the game awards doesn't mean it has to have a discount.

I'll pay $5 for it not more

I'll give 6 euros for it. Did I win? We're having an auction, right? :B But it's true that ubisoft games aren't worth a lot of money.

Looks like it's part of the Game Awards sale. Still a pretty big discount for a game that's barely been out two weeks.

Now if only Undertale would go on sale...

Even if it was 80 or 90% off, I still wouldn't buy it. An Ubisoft game on Steam? No, thank you... I'd pay double the price of any Steam discount just to have the game be U-Play only (not that I love UPlay or anything, but how is it better to be both Steam and UPlay at the same time? FUCK THAT!!!).

What's the problem with having 2 clients? Your pc can't handle them at once?

What fight? I have them both anyway and to m both are quite ok to use. My only gripe is having a game run by both of them at once, which I find stupid and unnecessary.

Because it's stupid and unnecessary. You've got to have a Uplay account to link the game to anyway, not just UPlay installed. So why the fuck not just have it directly on UPlay and start it from there. It's true UPlay used to be a horrific client., but it has since been fixed and actually functions quite nicely today. There is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON to have an Ubisoft game on Steam. NONE WHATSOEVER!

Really don't know why people hate using UPlay on Steam so damn much. UPlay is barely noticeable once you activate the game on your account, which only takes a few seconds. After that, you might see a split-second loading screen before the game itself boots up.

There is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON to have an Ubisoft game on Steam. NONE WHATSOEVER! Also because in my country I often find retail versions of Ubisoft games at quite convenient prices in stores (since Ubisoft has a HQ here). And the retail versions are ALWAYS UPlay only. So the vast majority of the games in my UPlay library are UPlay only. But the one game I did get form Steam (making a stupid mistake), if I try to start it directly from Uplay does NOT do that. It requires Steam to start, in an identical fashion it would require UPlay if I started it from Steam. That is idiotic and ruins the whole purpose of my UPlay account

I'm the opposite. On several occasions I've paid more to have them on steam. Ubisofts servers are beyond terrible at times. There's been several games that I bought for Uplay that I was unable to even download and had to torrent to be able to install them. If I buy them on steam I might still have to deal with uplay drama down the line but at least I can download my game to get to that stage.

UPlay games on Steam run on the Uplay servers too. They have NO Steamworks. SOOO basically the same shit.

I'm talking about downloading not running. I bought Splinter Cell Blacklist on uplay and couldn't download it. I had to torrent it and install that way before I could play the game through uplay.

Buying from steam means I'm downloading through Steam even if I then require uplay to play it.

Buying it on steam changes only two things - steam tracks hours you've played and it is visible in your library. That's all, everything else is the same as uplay version. Add it as a non-steam game and you will get exactly the same experience except for those two things i mentioned.

And if I buy it from steam I can download it through Steam which is why I prefer to buy it on steam. I've had numerous issues downloading games through uplay and buying on steam let's me avoid that.

If you want to drop another $10 or so off this price check out ebay. When Nvidia or AMD bundle games with video cards you can roughly pay $20-$30 for a legit copy. Keeping in supply and demand, it has recently gone for as low as $17.89. Those prices even beat the shady 3rd-party resellers/websites.

No it's not a price bug. It's a bit early for a 40% but probably the game doesn't sell well, maybe people are tired of the same game every year. Still not worth it.

Owners: 36k to 46k.
For a AAA title in one of the most advertised franchises, after 2 weeks of debut.
It seems the game award sale was just a good excuse to quickly put it up with a decent sale in hopes that it won't be overshadowed by some random indie game. That would be interesting news in any gaming magazine: newest AC flopped.
