I'll start with mine: https://i.imgur.com/xyeqjBZ.png

GTA V - Added on Dec 6th, 2014 - Still not purchased because, No Regional Pricing and not good enough sales.
It was free on Ep!c and I did claim it but the "launcher" is too clunky to use, there are no achievements and I generally dislike their practices so haven't played yet.
Waiting for 75% or more discount.

Edit: Some awesome games guys! Keep it coming and someone will find something interesting to add in the wishlist (Like my wishlist where I add everything remotely interesting)

It Potato or Poh-taa-to?

Potato
Poh-taa-to
I have heard it both way

Added The Old Tree on 27 Jan 2015 - not purchased it yet as it is free and is on my wishlist to remind me to play it (I think something is wrong with my reasoning here :)
Oldest added game that can be bought is Cubicolor (add date is 19 March 2016). Cannot buy it as there is no Australian price, think I will be waiting until hell freezes over to buy this puzzle game. There are over 100 games on my wishlist with no buy price for me.

Don't Starve since 2013. I guess I added it because it looked interesting, but in subsequent years through all the sales, I look at it and think I probably won't play it that much as I'm just not that good at survival games. But then it stays on the list in the hopes it will be in a cheap bundle one day and I'll get it then. And also they keep adding DLC and I'd rather get it all at once at a cheaper price.

Starwhal added late 2016 and by the time I was able to spend money on Steam, I had no one to play it with 😅

hmm.. actually it's "Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heros Quest Pack DLC" Which i added 2015-01-03.
I have been waiting to that dlc before I finnaly download and play the entire fallen enchantress serie but since it's such a low priority i been forgetting to get it every time it was on discount.

the Next is "Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivian Game of the Year Edition" Which i added it to complete my collection of elder scrolls and play.

Far Cry 4, 12/21/2016.
The reason, I started to play Far Cry 3 at those days and enjoyed that game along 2017, but for some reason I leaved at ~40 hours, and never back to end the playthrough. Probably, when I finish that (2021? 2022?, 2030?), gonna buy the #4

Rimworld because it never really goes on sale, and I'm a little intimidated by the complexity tbh. Some games are more fun to watch other people play sometimes, lol.

GTFO - because of Early Access. The only Early Access game I've bought is Prodeus. Because I followed it for 2 years before they ever released Early Access and I couldn't wait to play a more brutal DOOM. But typically I try not to buy games in Early access.

Tormentum - Dark Sorrow, 27-March-2015. I love the art style and genre. But it's never been bundled, and I pretty much just don't buy unbundled games with rare exceptions. I did back their next game, TSIOQUE, on Kickstarter.

Runners-up: The Sims 3, AR-K: The Great Escape, and Cradle.

Nice idea for a thread. :)

Nameless The one thing you must recall (since 15)
Princess Battles (since 16)

Reason: They never get that cheap under sale and they are to expensive for me right now

Here is the URL format people can use to answer your question (replace YOURUSERNAME accordingly)

https://store.steampowered.com/wishlist/id/YOURUSERNAME/#sort=dateadded

Afghanistan '11 is the oldest game on my wishlist, in part because:

  • It has never been bundled

  • Its historic low is $9 - High for me, regardless of my backlog size over time because...

  • I haven't been lacking or craving turn based strategy games for a long time

The real reason it is the oldest is because I purged my wishlist previously and was adding back games in alphabetical order. At one point I cleared out my entire Steam wish list as I didn't want email notifications from Steam about every time a single game was discounted (I think I had a wishlist documented elsewhere, maybe on ITAD if that was around?). That is why my oldest wishlist games were from 2018 even though I've been on Steam for over 7 years. Once I noticed that Steam allowed for unsubscribing from all per game discount/sale notifications, I had a field day adding wishlist games back.

Triple Town --> Because I played countless hours already before I started using the Steam platform, though I plan to eventually get it still. The price just hasn't dropped to where I would bite on it without thinking.

Apparently The House In Fata Morgana, added on 18/10/2016. I heard many good things about it but over the years I have became hesistant to play visual novels as they can be a real slog to get through. I have others games higher on my wishlist anyway. Maybe I'll buy it if it gets to 75% or higher discount, or after I finish a part of my very long backlog.
