for the tf2 farmers out there.... why the boom in price?

lately a lot of pepople is looking for elli's cap, and it got a boom in price!
does anyone know why?

  • edit: to change topic and people don't bring the hammer on me for saying trade.. . i'm not interested in trading =P, just curious

What boom in price? Elli's cap price is currently 1.33 - 1.66 ref which is a normal price for a common hat. Actually, the hat is been hard to sell for quite a while, there's even an active suggestion on backpack.tf for lowering the price at 1.33 ref, which is probably going to pass.

lately i've been offered frmo 2 refs up to 1 dollar in cards for mine...
i was intrigued about what was going on.... so nothing interesting? =[

Valve has buffed elli's caps so that anyone that wears it will become 0.00000001% more pro at tf2.

There's a box wich can only be crafted with hats, that's why almost every hat's price is going up. The Ellis Cap is a "random craft hat" so it's worth 1.33 or more.
