Gimli, because of the competition with Legolas, and throwing.
Oh yes... This is why I did not pick Legolas.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9Uz1icjwrM

No lie, Gandalf has always been my favorite. As a kid I was attracted to how clearly powerful he was while being restrained and hiding that power, but it was also how paternal he was, how helpful to the disenfranchised. When I read Fellowship at Age 11, I actually tried to hide under my bed after the Balrog killed him. I'd never encountered a story where the helpful parental figure died midway through shepherding the heroes. They always lived to the end and were proud, or die very early. Scared the hell out of me.

I have to say Gollom is my favourite. I felt sorry for him, he just wanted the ring and he wasn't really evil so letting him have it wouldn't have been that bad.

Faramir - he's a badass and a ranger, a great leader and all-round good person, held Osgiliath, rode against the Nazgul on Pelennor on his father Denethor's orders, knowing he'd likely die, and is seriously overlooked by Denethor in favor of Boromir, which just sucks for him.

My favorite LOTR character is a Faramir. He uses sword & bow well,he is Rangers' commander also and nice strategist.I find him very useful as in the War time as in the peace time.He can be great warrior and better ruler. Also he had opportunity to grab The Ring but Faramir decided to bring it to the city and save his people.
That's why I choose Faramir.

Unfortunately I've never watched LOTR since we only got the second film on DVD and I never bothered to look for the first, so I never watched it. Maybe I'd get into it if I played the game, who knows :)

My favorite, though not true LOTR, is Torvin from Shadows of Mordor. The stories he tells, the insults going back and forth between him and Talion, as well as the hunt for the Legendary Graug to avenge his brother all tied in well. The voice actor did a terrific job and really helped to bring him to life.

I have to say Tom Bombadil too, because I missed him most in Fellowship of the Ring.

I did this last night with Lego Marvel Super Heroes, so here we go again.
I'm going to add four people to my whitelist for a chance to win Lego The Lord of the Rings in a little over an hour. Here is your challenge: name your favorite LOTR character and tell me why. You can keep it short or expound on it greatly, but try being creative. The best four responses will earn a slot in my whitelist for a chance to win. No bonus points for LOTR potatoes.
I have several more Lego GAs, so be on the look out. Those making it to my whitelist may or may not remain for those GAs. Your chances of staying increase if you are selected and actually enter the LOTR one :)
