I think you misunderstood what he meant. It looks to me like he was worried the bundle will end before the money arrives, so he was asking somebody to buy that pack and then resell it to him later for the same price. Others have asked for such favors on this forum in the past too and I didn't notice it was viewed as begging or trading. He could have expressed himself better though, imo, since it does look like begging at the first glance.
