Sadly FX2 and all tables have been removed from the store and not all tables carry over due to license.I planned on buying the tables I wanted during the next big sale.
I'm glad someone made this thread and see a lot on here enjoy the game and make my high scores look pathetic lol.I just wish they would have given me a warning about removing the tables so I will stick with FX2.I will not invest in FX3 to have the same stunt pulled when FX4 comes as it's not a matter of if but when.If not all tables carry over I don't get the removal of the old tables.It makes me wonder if the license was coming up and that is why they pushed out FX3 to avoid re-license of the games on 2 and push people to 3.
Anyhow enjoy the game as it is fun, I have never been much good at pinballs but playing games is not about being good but having fun at least IMO.If they bring all tables back for FX2 or port them over to FX3 then I will be back on board until then I will stick with FX2.

After seeing FX2 got removed from the store, I yesterday installed it by using the command line. However, when I try to add a DLC (Star Wars Balance of the Force), it tells me I would have to activate the base game first. It probably doesn't work, since the game was always free (and not became free at some point).
Anyone knows a solution for this?

You could try with the "Fx2 & Civil War table" package from Tremorgames. As it explicitly says the base game is included with that DLC, there's a good chance it'll work.

The only catch is, it costs 295 Tremor coins, but watching a few videos should get you there, depending on your country (Steam says you're from Germany, I can vouch from my own experience, videos work very well in Germany). If you don't want anything to do with Tremorgames or can't get those coins, contact me on Steam ... I have enough coins, I'll grab the package for you, if you want, just because I'm curious if it works.

True that. Though, it's one of the worst tables on FX2, if you ask me. Maybe I'm biased, because I can't stand Marvel in general (or other American comic and Super Hero stuff for that matter - every time there's another comic themed game or TV show, it just makes me cringe), but it's also hard to play, too fast and short ramps.

You could try installing FX3. A few days ago, right before FX3 got released I wanted to activate the Iron & Steel pack for FX2 but got the message that I need to activate the base game first. Once FX3 was released (and installed) I then was able to activate it (and the DLC registered to both, FX2 and FX3.) Strangely enough, other tables I activated at the same time worked just fine, probably because the Iron & Steel Pack (as well as the Balance of the Force Pack) also exists in the same form for FX3 and didn't end up as part of a bigger package.

+1 Yup they can't add the single tables to the store so this is the way they did it. Definitely a great solution.
Now they just need to fix the store tags so it shows if you own the DLC on the FX3 Store.

I want to mention to anyone who doesn't have these DLC that these coupons are better than what we got for the Autumn and Winter Steam Sales. If you own none of the tables in this DLC or if you only only part of it this would be the time to get it as there most likely won't be anything this cheap in the forseeable future.
PS. Sundance if you play and don't own the full DLCs I would highly advise using your coupons.

Yeah, at 2€ a pop (in my region) I was tempted to get them myself but I'm currently playing The Witcher 3 on PS4 and only recently reactivated my old 360 so they don't delete my account and was flabbergasted how many good games are still waiting to be played there (Sleeping Dogs, Dishonored, Arkham Asylum, RDR - Undead Nightmare and many more) so I'm afraid if I get them myself they'll just sit there in my library.
So you Pinball Aficionados here on SG get first dibs and if really nobody wants them I'll give it another thought before dropping them in the Coupon Dumpster group next week ;)

It is amazing they give me coupons for everything I own and nne for what I might buy. They do not port of al the table we bought (like South park series). nd to buy a single table I am missing I have to buy a pack filled with tables I have and no coupon for that Pack. lol. A small matter is that the DLC store shows I am missing a few packs in which I own every single table. So I have to read contents of any new packs ever added carefully. Or worse I may not even notice new packs added as so many I own show up as not owned in Steam DLC Store.

If I understood madjoki's comment further above correctly I got those coupons because I have some of the tables included in these packs in FX2 from an old Humble Bundle but contrary to Carnivals and Legends, Balance of the Force & Iron & Steel Pack they didn't carry over because in FX3 they packaged the tables differently.
Would you like any of those or did you get them yourself ?

I enjoy playing pinball but no one from my friends list plays so I don't really have the motivation to grind the tables. Not that I have time to play anyway so my scores are...casual - not viable for the group :D
My fav table is the Skyrim one, though I only played it on mobile. Of the ones I played on Steam, hmmm, Pasha springs to mind. I like the flow of it.
The redesign is great IMO and the multiplayer battles are enjoyable... if you have the tables (which I don't so having to skip weeks and lose rank is mildly infuriating)

I had included the expiry dates for the coupons in that post. Sorry, but they expired months ago. Best deal you'll get now, is one of those 60% off packs in the autumn sale (don't think they'll go any lower during winter sale). FX3 tables aren't sold anywhere outside Steam as far as I know and those coupons were a one time offer to make up for the confusion with importing FX2 tables.

The Steam Autumn Sale is ending in less than 12 hours. All the DLC except the newest pack is on sale between 30-70% off with the majority being 60% off.

The Steam Winter Sale is here! All but the new Williams Volume 2 DLC Pack is on sale right now in the Steam Store. The Star Wars Solo and Williams Volume 1 DLC packs are $6.99 each but everything else is $4.99 or lower and it goes as low as $1.49(The Walking Dead Table). Of course there's also the seasonal packs which will give you bigger discounts than the single DLC packs as well.
The next big Steam sale will be in June so if you are looking to pick up any in the next couple months now would be the time do it.

The Bethesda and Balls of Glory are two of my favorites. Both DLC packs are very well done in my opinion. Marvel's Women of Power is a good DLC pack as well but I believe it's probably one of the least bought DLC packs.

I'm not a fan of the real tables coming to FX3 but I know there's a lot of people out there who do enjoy them. The Universal Monsters Pack was just announced recently and coming on October 29th.
