Uber Catacomb Snatch makes Mojang's Mojam game better

An “Uber” version of Mojang’s new RTS-shmup Catacomb Snatch makes the experience of playing it a lot more enjoyable. It’s also free of course so that’s good.

Mojang would have likely done this themselves but what they did manage in a 60 hour time limit was quite impressive as it was. If you don’t know what Catacomb Snatch is, then it can be understood as a shooter set in ancient Egypt, with some RTS elements thrown in for good measure.

Updates applied so far in Uber Catacomb Snatch include separating movement and shooting controls, bots now pick up coins from harvesters and a major crash bug is fixed, amongst others.

I really dont like Mojang's use of java to make games with. That aside, downloading and will try it out I guess.

It's Catacomb Snatch and Broadside Express.

Both have a steampunk look without being all, "OMG LOOK, BRASS AND VACUUM TUBES EVERYWHERE."

There's no install, you just open the .jar file.

You do need Java installed to play it.

Tried the game, could have easily be a good old style game, of course you can't expect to have a fully fledged game with 24 levels and 20 different types of enemies in less than 60 hours.....

Yes, you can, just look at the ludum dare contest, they have many great games with many levels and enemies made in 448 hours.
