Hello,

first of all, please excuse my bad english skill's.Well,"exclude" and "public" doesn't really match together but sometimes I 'd love to have the opportunity to exclude certain members (based on their countries) or whole countries from a public giveaway Mainly because of the new Steam Rules like Regional Lock,IP Lock,Gift/Trade restrictions, sometimes because Countries affected by censorship or just for personal Reasons.

I know, we already have a Black/Whitelist for members but you have to admit,it would be a real pain to add a few hundred or thousand members based on their Steam Profiles manually on this list.

The Region "restricted giveaways" option is (in my opinion) incomplete at the moment and not a real alternative. What I had in mind is more like a DropDown Menรผ where i can (de)select individual Country's and/or Members who are able to view/enter the giveaway.

What's your opinion ?

No, a very bad idea / not necessary !
Great,we should give it a try !

Voted yes. Was going to post something about this myself. Would like to auto block all region restricted areas from my ROW gifts, just like I can't see theirs atm.

Why not to go even further and exclude users from your giveaways based on their race, sex, religion etc.? You know...... "for personal Reasons"...

I'd like to see someone come up with a way to hide GAs for games that aren't available (for whatever reason) in certain countries...like how Hotline Miami 2 doesn't seem to be available in Australia, along with a handful of other games that I've come across that aren't available here :(

I suggested the same thing, specifically for ROW members when region-restrcited giveaways were announced. Didn't get an answer from anyone of the staff side of things.

As I said there, my worry is that it kind of feels discriminatory. On the other hand, anyone making a region-restricted giveaway is by default being discriminatory in their own way. I don't know, would feel a little uneasy about it still, but I think I'd take up the option every now and then.

I basically feel a bit bad for some of the EU2 guys, and I also think some African and Middle East members are in the same position. They might be here to win games because games cost a lot relative to their average wage/wealth etc. have no big discount when it comes to regional pricing to make things easier for them and are classed as ROW.

On here, those who do have the regional restrictions can make and enter giveaways amongst themselves that those outside of these areas can't. The people in regional restrcited areas can also enter all the giveaways that those in the ROW can, and therefore will have more giveaways to enter and more chaqnces of winning, putting ROW people at a disadvantage. Not bothered about that from my own perspective as I can afford my own games, but there's people in certain parts of ROW that could likely do with having their own region-exclusive giveaways to give them a bit more of a chance and even things up.
