I've just finished The Walking Dead. The game almost made me cry a few times. I'm not a great fan of adventure games, but this one is more an interactive novel than point&click. I've very much enjoyed Divi Dead once, and Bible Black to a lesser degree.
Could you recommend me something along these lines? It doesn't need to be interactive novel, genre is not important, only that game plays strong on emotions between scary and sad. I have Amnesia, it's realy scary game, but there's not much story and character development.

Spec Ops: The Line. Please, do yourself a favor. It's a game that plays on your morals and is highly emotional.

I second that. Specs Ops: The Line is one of the most underrated games.

Yeah, don't mistake this one for a shooter. It's a powerful story served by an amazing writing.

Based somewhat on the book "Heart Of Darkness" Epic story driven game... Though not really a point and click like The Walking Dead

Really? I expected it to be something like Modern Warfare single player. Very good, but linear action-packed story, where there's little doubt who the good and bad guys are, even when you shoot Russians (intended irony), or launch a nuke over Washington, blasting away ISS in the process. And you have virtually no impact on your protagonist's character.

Don't get me wrong, I very much liked playing CoD and got involved in the storyline, but on a different level.

Someone will surely mention cRPGs. But - with exclusion of Planescape: Torment - I always managed to beat the odds somehow. What I liked in The Walking Dead or Divi Dead, was that you might sometimes think you beaten the odds, but at the end of the day it was always the odds that have beaten you. Like in real life, you try to do the best, and 90% of the time things go to hell anyway.

If the last thing you said is what you liked about them, then play Spec Ops. There's not much choices you can make, and only the final ones change your ending, but the story is awesome anyway.

They're not really scary, but 999: Nine hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors and its sequel Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward have great stories that are often sad and involve a fair bit of death and such. They're for the DS and 3DS/Vita respectively, though, so if don't have those, never mind.

You might also like The Cat Lady, though it's really dark. Gives-you-nightmares kind of dark...

If you have a PS3, Heavy Rain is pretty similar to The Walking Dead considering that the the choices you make affect the gameplay. The story can be pretty depressing depending on what you chose.
If not, then To the Moon.

Which The walking dead? The adventure or survival instinct? So the adventure = Most Telltale Games/Quantic Dream games, if survival instinct = Most Activision Shooter.

I highly doubt people who played Survival Instinct cried during the game...on the other hand, based on the reviews, they just might.

Most good adventure games cause emotions. My favorite games of all time are The Longest Journey and Dreamfall. Generally games fail in making me cry though.
