King Rat by James Clavell. Clavell is an acclaimed author (newly premiered Shogun miniseries on Hulu/FX is based on one of his books), but King Rat is a bit different from his other works - it's his first book and and it's based on his experience as a POW in Changi prison in Singapore during WWII. Excellent book and a very interesting read. Planning to go through the entirety of Clavell's Asian Saga (but unfortunately don't have as much time for reading as I'd like right now).

On the 6th of march I finished Stephen King's Misery. It was a pretty good novel (My first King read) I enjoyed it and all but I'd probably give it 7.5/10 instead of 9/10 just because most of that time of me reading I was just looking up words in the dictionary which yes I'm aware is no one's fault but me and where I was born but I thoroughly enjoyed it nonetheless. I am now reading Beach Read by Emily Henry lol.

Chapterhouse: Dune 10/10 as all of his books

Last book I read was Endymion, 2 years ago. I started the last of the four books in the Chants of Hyperion cycle, Rise of Endymion, but I started to lack concentration and interest, despite the books being one of my most favourite saga. I've been unable to recover the concentration needed to read more than 2-4 pages.

Since then I've only read graphic novels and comics.

The Ruined Map by Kobo Abe, just finished it today. It's certainly a weird one, especially the ending, and I'm not sure if I even liked it, especially the ending, and it feels kinda disconnected all over, especially the ending, and I'm not sure if I can recommend it to anyone, as I had a hard time relating to the main character, especially towards the ending

Going through the Discworld books again and just finished Interesting times. Pretty great, but m favorites will always be the books with the Night Watch.

Stoner by John Williams

City of Golden Shadow, the first book of Otherland by Tad Williams! Can honestly say I've never read anything quite like it, and it really surprised me. It's from 1996 but it still holds up really well, or probably even better now since it's a science fiction - fantasy that heavily involves VR. An amazing read and I'll definitely be reading the other books in the series

Warhammer 40000 - Praetorian of Dorn i like it 10/10

in terms of favorite books i like:

The Way of the Cockroach: How not to be there when the lights come on and nine other lessons on how to survive in business:
its a humorous one featuring a loveable bug who you grow attached to as he bonds overtime with a manager in dire needs of some golden rules and advice on his mundane life. its more of a lighthearted educational story than just hammering you with terminology in their general structure. highly recommend it and i like rereading it from time to time.

Throne of Glass:
series, its been a while since and havent got to finish them yet so instead of describing, you can see the synopsis instead. very enganging tales.

omg, ALL of Philip K. Dick's work? that's crazy! I've read ~15 novels and now reading the third book of short stories.. but there's like 30 novels left.

The last book I finished was House of Leaves.
It quickly grew to be one of my favourites!

I prefer autobiographies nowadays. I used to read a lot of fiction, but I guess as I'm getting older I seem to enjoy real life stories more.
I've read these two books quite recently so I'll just include them both here.

Abroad in Japan : ten years in the land of the rising sun by Chris Broad. Well written, laid-back and highly entertaining. Very enjoyable read.

Ghost in the wires : my adventures as the world’s most wanted hacker by Kevin Mitnick. Written almost like a spy novel, this kept me on my toes the whole way through. All the technical stuff is well explained in layman's terms. Has a lot of humour and heart as well.

I read an excellent a correct W40k book written by Dave Abnett written by David Guymer about the glory and strength of the Empire of Humanity about orcs who become intelligent . Title : Echoes of the long war

Okay i may have undersold WH40K as it's usually not that well written, but boy do i love the lore!

Recently finished Glasshouse by Charles Stross. I quite enjoyed it

The novel is set in the 27th century aboard a spacecraft adrift in interstellar space. Robin, the protagonist, has recently had his memory erased. He agrees to take part in an experiment, during which he is placed inside a model of a late 20th/early 21st century Euroamerican society. Robin is given a new identity and body, specifically that of a woman named "Reeve".

As for favorite book, for the longest time it was Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson, widely considered one of the pioneers of cyberpunk scifi. Now I think it's The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoevsky, a masterpiece in Russian literature.

Funny you mention Terry Pratchett...

My last finished book is a collection of his previously-unknown short stories, under the title A Stroke of the Pen. These are stories he wrote under pseudonyms, and they were found by sheer luck. To be honest, they aren't great, but if you miss the guy, and want one more taste of his writing style, it's that.

Don't remember the last book I finished. I'm currently reading The Da Vinci Code. I only read it when I'm in the bathroom so it's taking me awhile lol
