After stumbling upon the following SteamTrades post:

http://www.steamgifts.com/trade/Kp5Ov/helf-bowlingtocadirtmafianeverwinter-2topgun-horrid-buccaneer-blurcart-lifewtf2-keys/search?page=3

Read the post, and you will find out this gentlemen deals in selling/trading games that have long been removed from the Steam store -- once ordinary gifts, now prized collectors items.

Where do Steam collectors usually get these "rare" gifts? Are there Steam groups that specialize in selling such antique gifts?
Traders such as the above are few and far between on SteamTrades.

(These games are surely worth 100+ keys, who's with me on this?)

They have bought it as a gift before it was removed from Steam.

"Where do Steam collectors usually get these "rare" gifts? "

They buy them before steam removes them. Or they get keys that are still in circulation after the fact.

"These games are surely worth 100+ keys,"

No. They're games, they exist, they're worth what they're worth. Just because they're not on steam doesn't mean they're worth less. The only people that believe that are the same people that are stupid enough to trade an origin key (or gamersgate gift, or GoG key) for cheaper than a steam key (Which I actually love because it means a better deal for me on the expense of someone else's pickiness.)

"These games are surely worth 100+ keys, who's with me on this?" just to have a game in your steamlibrary even if you can but it for 1-2$ or maybe 10$ from a vendor of your choice? Sorry, but steam is not the only place you can buy games from...

Some of them are still available as retail boxed copies, like Breach. I still find $10 copies of it around now, and got mine long after it was yanked from the store. Never got the point in collecting removed games, I have several but meh, they're just names in the library.

It's a game removed from a single sales platform, not Stadium Events.

Yeah, but Stadium events was sold for the equivalent of 4000 TF2 keys, multiples of what a removed game would cost.

Albert Einstein said something very interesting about the intelligence of the buyer and the universe once ;-)

The point is that just because it's not on Steam anymore doesn't make it valuable and in demand. Hell, sometimes they get removed because they're broken garbage.

....and sometimes they get removed cuz one of their creators threatens to kill the owner of the distribution platform on which it's being sold.
