Some games don't yield contributer values because they are from bundles, I'm assuming? It's a little odd, because if I knew ahead of time, I wouldn't have given away the keys. It's not that I'm monstrously selfish - perhaps a discounted contributor value would be more reasonable than "nothing". Also I gave away several other games "from bundles" and I did get contributor cred for it, so it's weird.

Whats up?

Yeah, if you give just bundle titles (marked with a * in the drop down menu), then you are capped, never going higher than $30 CV

Read the Faq. It explains everything.

look up bundle formula in the search bar of this forum. I don't have it on hand and don't want to mistype it. but it ends up with a max of 30 cv purely from bundles

the first 25 cv from games marked with an asterisk() count as normal. after that its only 20% of non bundled() cv. the excess is stored unused, so if you add nonbundle cv later on some of the bundle cv will get used too.

Found it. That's a weird policy because it discourages people from giving away anything from a bundle beyond a certain point. Whoever came up with that has a bright future at Microsoft :D

No, its to stop people from spending $5 and expecting hundreds. Buy non bundle games, your cap increases and you get that value back.

No, it only denies people the ability to exploit bundles. It is either this or no CV at all, because otherwise CV would be meaningless. Anyway, this page should be about giving away, not hoarding CV.

CV is pretty much meaningless already. I've seen a few people with over $1.5k CV that only spent a little over $100 due to sales.

Damn. Why do I always miss these 93% off sales ;__;

At least Crazy Machines was fixed, much to the exploiters' chagrin...

Frequently check /r/gamedeals on Reddit and you'll catch all the 90% off sales :) I assume that's what the massive CV farmers do.

Don't even dare comparing the bundle policies with Microsoft.

You tried to mean that encourage people who already gaveaway bundle keys (instead of trade or sell) to give away nonundle games. Indeed.

It's your punishment for not reading the FAQ.

You can get your precious bundle contributor value by giving away enough real games.

I wouldn't say games who are or were in a bundle are not "real".
