Why can't you sync it? Is it a bug or the free weekend thing? Anyway, you don't have to worry, the State of Decay giveaway doesn't end for weeks.

Nah, I can't because I've played games that were shared by someone else (family sharing) and if I sync, then SG will assume I own those games and I won't be able to join any more giveaways for them.

I didn't know that. Is there a solution for that issue? Because the obligatory account sync will eventually kick in, so if there is no way to fix it, well, that really sucks...

I'm hoping there will be a fix for this someday, I am guessing many people don't have this problem yet, but as soon as family sharing kicks in for everyone there will probably be complaints. Maybe cg will do something about it. Right now, hell no, I'm not syncing my account. :p

Sorry, I just saw your reply.
You might want to temporarily switch your steam profile from public to private/friends only, otherwise your account will sync automatically after a while (happens every 1-2 weeks for me) and you won't even notice.
Also drop support a message, if you haven't already, to see if there is a way to for them to deactivate the process for you. I don't know if they can do it, but it might be worth a shot.
