Games/Movies based on good books

Well, I'm looking for some good books to read, but before that i want to play/watch the game/movie that's based on that book.

At the moment I'm tempted to get Metro 2033/Metro 2034 and I'm hoping i won't be disappointed. Also, i heard that the STALKER games are also based on some books but all i find are books based on the game :(.

Anyway, i would like to see some suggestions.

LOTR was pretty nice at that time, Harry potter especially the lego games are pretty fun to play, star wars lego... hehe all of them have a lego game. Lotr rather uninteresting since they started talking :(

Movie:Hogfather and Color of Magic. But color of magic movie is based on 2 books("Color of Magic" and "Fantastic Light") some of important of stuff is cut yet both movies follow books pretty accurate.

The books are based on the game, not the other way around. There are tons of books based on video games.
