Haven't played much of 2020 games, but my vote goes for Kentucky Route Zero which finally had the last act released this year.
[Close second would be perhaps Lightmatter, en enjoyable 3D puzzler game with similarities to Portal and Q.U.B.E.]
I hate voting for games I haven't played, cos I often end up not enjoying hyped-up games.

I've been slowly making my way through Kentucky Route Zero since its full release (I'm three acts in I think) and it's honestly one of the most unique stories I've ever seen told in this medium

Why is Cyberpunk 2077 winning? People really have no problem awarding GOTY to something nobody's played yet?

Obviously it means nothing, just seems bizarre that so many people would vote for a game and just assume it's better than some legitimate great games that are actually playable. Maybe I'll change my vote to Elden Ring.

Well, only because your Steam friends don't own it (although, are you sure?because i own it over on GoG) doesn't mean that nobody owns/plays/like it. ;)
And last years winner Disco Elysium did get released on October 2019, so its not the same thing as cyberpunk 2077 which cannot be played because its not released.
