best MMORPG you ever played

Aion was a great mmorpg, it got a bit boring and now i have Guild Wars 2 and so far it's my favorite mmorpg.

Currently I'm playing GW2 but I wouldn't claim anything as the best without being tested first. In testing I mean have been out for at least one year. When I was playing Rift, Rift was my favorite MMO. When I was playing WoW, WoW was my favorite MMO. See the pattern?

The question is best mmorpg you've ever played. Not what's your flavor of the day.

So in retrospect, I would have to say the best mmorpg for me would be NexusTK. Being the first mmo I played and was drawn into the genre. Didn't leave NexusTK till WoW but I tried almost all other mmo's till that point.

tbh the most fun i ever had in an mmo and maybe in any game was in Warhammer Online around & after launch. for the pvp. I was a pvp officer in Grudge.
CoH, WoW before/during BC, and Rift get my honorable mention too

Asheron's Call. Played that thing for over 7 years.

Star Wars Galaxies. I loved the crafting system. No MMO before or since has ever matched SWG in crafting and sadly I don't think any MMO ever will. Hopefully The Repopulation is great.

WoE was pretty much the most fun thing ever, when I was younger.
The feeling of dominating whole castles was great lol

Maplestory, around 6 years ago was really, really fun

Obviously WoW. Masterpiece. Played it 5 years.
Btw, Rift is just a cheap imitation with static bosses. And people are actually paying for that..

I just quitted GW2, no time for mmorpg and DOTA2 is too addicting. Final Fantasy XI was the best imho, I loved the job and combat system.
