Well,I got two lol:
First-
I'd like something clear,without some special stuff and s**t on it.Like a background for a banner.

Some ppl make some backgrounds of some place showcase and then put different characters there, or just make the images gif with cool animations, can't find an example of what I'm talking about. But you can put your favorite character inside the artwork of the background showcase, to make them like they are a part from it.
Oh well found an example on your friends list, the level 101 guy, but I saw cooler things, you can put Deadpool like there for example.

I know the feeling. I spent half a night or more looking for the right background. But seriously, go with a space background. Something vibrant & full of color. Something that rapes the shit out of your eyes when you first see it. lel
