I just found one who has blacklisted me (wish I knew why) who also joined several of my GAs... added the user on Steam and asked out of curiosity why I was blacklisted, the user then unfriended me without any answer but let their entries in the GAs stay.

I don't know... you dislike someone enough to blacklist them but not enough to stay away from their GAs? just seems a bit weird to me.

Do you join GAs of those you have blacklisted?

I accidentally did once because it was a featured GA and I didn't think to check in there, but I try not to as a principle.

Most of the time I honestly don't pay much attention to who's the creator of the GA. But upon reading this thread I realize I gotta be more careful.

Definitely not. The people in my blacklist are people I want nothing to do with. It just feels wrong--almost as if you're supporting them by entering their giveaways.

For the moment, I have blacklisted 0 people, I am perhaps too indulgent? ^^

I don't believe I have, but it would be a nice feature to be able to filter out their giveaways. When I blacklist someone, I don't want anything to do with them, and most certainly don't want them adding me on Steam or something.

I only blacklist those who I noticed blacklisted me, so no.

I try not to, but I probably accidentally have. I suspect some of those featured gas I entered were from someone I blackmailedlisted.

Edit: Goddammit, I can't spell.

You blackmailed them? That's going a bit too far ain't it? ;)

Is it? It's better to owe one guy a favor than to be suspended from sg. Do you know how horrible being suspended would be to one of us addicted to sg? So I make sure that doesn't happen to users... for a price.

I don't, I feel it would by hypocritical if I did. I'm lucky few of them make giveaways at all, and almost none of them make GAs for games I want, but still.

I only have a few people on my blacklist, but I probably wouldn't notice if I joined their giveaway, though after checking, I found out that none of them have made a giveaway for a long time. I blacklisted them for obvious botting

^same

I wish there was a way to hide all giveaways made by a particular person, it's a pain to avoid all the Angryerpel (original group admin) giveaway flood

I enter into his GAs for games that I don't want and remove entry before GA ends. That way I can store extra points (if I have any xD).

the same thing happened to me ... I preferred not to ask why I'm on his blacklist, however, he came into a lot of my GAs.
let's leave it at that :)

I never used my blacklist because I disliked someone, but because they were breaking the rules.

I have no idea who's on it, so I could enter their giveaways and not notice it.
I actually won a giveaway once from someone on my blacklist, and this happened.

I use the SteamGifts Blacklist/Whitelist Indicator script (don't remember the thread I got it from maybe someone else could help) that adds an icon next to the user to mark who is whitelisted and blacklisted that's how I know if the user is blacklisted and don't enter those giveaways not that I recall running into it in a giveaway I'm about to enter.

Not on purpose. I'd avoid it if I did on purpose, but I rarely enter giveaways anymore anyway, so I guess the odds are pretty low. I don't think there's anything wrong with it, it would just be super awkward if I won.

I have very few people blacklisted, and most of them don't really make giveaways, so not much worry there. The few that do I guess I'll try not to join, but I've never had the chance yet.

Never. No matter what was the reason why I BL someone, I never enter their GAs. I generally BL people that are toxic or break the rules, and I don't want to deal with them one way or another. I don't want to give them my games, I don't want to take anything from them.

Also, like Rupti said, most of them don't do GAs anyway, and I actually had this 'problem' once.

P.S. - mutuall BL would make that 'problem' non existent :P

I don't because I have principles.

However if I saw them giving away a game I really want maybe I'd un-blacklist them until the giveaway ends. That way I'd keep mah principles and get the chance to win the game I want. Just kidding, I wouldn't do that.
