Games like Sunset Overdrive

That game was really unique. Which is why I wish so badly they had made a sequel (it will probably never come), because there's so much that could be improved. It would be an Assassin's Creed vs Assassin's Creed 2 situation, where the first is good, but the second is amazing. The closest thing to Sunset Overdrive I can think of right now is Saints Row 4, which is an incredible game.

Vanquish, Bulletstorm, Metal Gear Revengeance and Just Cause(not the first one) are over the top. those come first in my mind

Hi-Fi Rush is amazing. Not really like Sunset Overdrive in terms of gameplay, but there's plenty of things about it that feels the similar (music, art style, etc.).

The Dead Rising series, more so in later entries (more over the top, though not as well reviewed).

Ratchet and Clank when it someday gets the PC Remaster treatment.

Maybe Saints Row 3 or 4?

Also maybe Brutal Legend ?
And Ratchet and Clank if you have PS2/PSP/PS3/PS4/PS5 (same dev).

The Prototype games are really fun and over the top, you can surf on dead bodies.

Vanquish, Metal Gear Rising, Bayonetta, God Hand. You know, the usual Platinum line-up.

Copy Kitty if you're also up for a sidescroller. Absolutely Copy Kitty. Amazing game.

Sin & Punishment: Star Successor if you have access to a Wii or are okay with playing on emulator. Other Treasure games like Gunstar Heroes and Alien Soldier also apply.

I recently played Sunset Overdrive and in many ways it reminded me of Saints Row 4 (I have not played previous ones).

it's a railshooter, so might not be what you're looking for, but blue estate is ott and a lot of fun.
