To clarify, Borderlands 2 GOTY has no region lock in Russia?

Only has PurchaseRestrictedCountries tag, no OnlyAllow tag makes it playable with no region restrictions to multiplayer right?

RU version of BD2 is a completely different game. It has only russian and can be played in MP with those who has russian version.

idk how it is now. But when you bought the game like 5-6 months ago you got 2 versions of Borderlands - RU and ENG.

Not sure if that wasn't only for preorders because Valve/2k totally screwed whole thing and sold Russian-only version to countries that doesn't use Russian language by default.

If you purchased Borderlands 2 in Russia, you will receive two versions of the game in your library at launch. Both version are playable for you, but cannot be gifted.

Worldwide Version

The worldwide version of the game will contain the following languages (English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Spanish).
Multiplayer will be available with everyone playing this version of the game worldwide.
Russian Version
The Russian and Polish version of the game will be playable in Russian and Polish language only.
Multiplayer will be available with other customers playing the Russian and Polish language version of the game.
*Applies to retail customers as well

So if I get BL2 GOTY from a Russian seller, I'll get Worldwide version as well and be able to play Worldwide in multiplayer? The Worldwide multi is the clincher for me.

Do you still get WW/RoW version along with RU? I thought that was pre-orders deal only, due to selling Ru-language-only to not-ru-language countries?

Well, that's funny, but I bought retail version of Borderlands 2 in Poland, there's no polish nor russian language and I have only WW client for the game. I can't say for sure if it's region locked or not, doesn't seem for me.
